Watoga State Park is definitely one of the most beautiful state parks in WV! Naturalist Tim Lavender gave us a fantastic tour, and we loved the Arboretum! Our cabin was excellent and warm, with comfortable beds! We will definitely be back!

An absolutely beautiful park. We were only riding through that day. Stopped in their lovely gift shop and purchased some souvenirs. It was the same day as Hurricane Helene was passing. We got trapped by fallen trees, but park rangers we too notch on the job of cutting up trees. We got out of our car and helped move the cut logs. I told my husband I definitely want to go back and stay a few days as everyone we had contact with were so nice.

My wife and I have been part time camping for 2 1/2 years 10-12 weeks a year. We have tried to stay at nicer places but this has been our favorite. Not that this has great amenities but it has space, clean, and our site on the river was A+. The bike trails along the river were A+. The hiking was great. I wish this were closer to home to come back more often.

Beautiful views. Some bear cubs crossed the road during our drive thru, which was really special. We want to go back in the Spring.

Very nice and relaxing park! We staying in cabin 11 and had a fantastic time. The cabin included firewood, a grill and a fire pit. The cabin was clean and free of any pests. Highly recommend staying at any of the cabins. Will return!

Wonderful state park!! We were in the very last cabin in our area (#29) and all the other cabins were empty which really gave us some peace and quiet. Had several "park deer" who were obviously used to being fed come right up to us. Take your gravity loungers and go on top of the dam for some great star gazing. There is also a mountain top within the park called T. M. Cheek overlook which is a great place to watch the sunset and stars. I would definitely recommend this park however, the cookware wasn't in the best shape and there was nothing to scrub them with.

Beautiful and huge park with lots to do, hiking, pedal boats, kayaks, tennis, they have restrooms at the station where there is also a gift-shop. They also have very nice looking cabins you can rent.
