Stayed here while working in the area in 2014. Could only imagine how high class and beautiful this place was back in its prime. The bar area and elevator was amazing. A presence was down there for sure. Can't wait to come back

Stayed there in 2012 when it was under renovation. The owner allowed us to stay in the unrenovated part even though they were "full" (in the renovated rooms). We were desperate for any room with a bed at the time.... and even then, it was pretty nice. Would love to see it now!!!!

I stayed all night visiting in the area. It's a very nostalgic Inn. The owners and everyone i met there was extremely kind, helpful and genuinely nice. The room was very clean. Had everything I needed to be comfortable.

I have several memories here and many pictures during those memories have fog and shapes in them. Not sure what it's like now but the bar and pool in the basement were so rad. The rooms I stayed in had really old clawfoot tubs and were in original decor of 1910 except for electricity. The tubs are haunted. Or were...
This is a very small town but rich in history.

We enjoyed our stay at Wells Inn! It is under renovation and a lot of work is in progress, but the owner was very accommodating, and staff friendly. The food was fantastic - a lovely surprise! The menu is akin to one you would find at a very nice restaurant. Chicken Marsala was delicious, and my husband loved the onion soup. Breakfast was cooked exactly to order; they have delicious muffins!

Older hotel and the only one in the area that offered a room at or below the Govt Rate for the dates that I needed to be in the area. It i an older hotel that is under renovations, but the owners did everything that they could to accommodate my needs. The owners were very nice and personable, but severely understaffed. Room was very clean, bed was very soft, and it was conveniently located for my particular business travel needs. I did feel the door to the room and the lock was questionable, you can quite easily leave the room and never lock the door. ||||It is a very reasonably priced room, but you do get what you pay for. Staff is very personable and actually publish their own newspaper twice a month that is very informative. I think they offer breakfast but I did not take advantage of that as they were understaffed at the time of my stay.

This was a one-time visit and was my last! My sister had stayed 4 years ago and not much progress has been made on this hotel since then. The owners need to cut their losses and sell. Although their rates are very affordable and include breakfast, it still isn't enough to make me want to stay there again...ever!!! I will give them credit for having good food.

This place is AMAZING. My boyfriend and I went for a Valentine's weekend through the area and stayed a night here. Charles, his wife, and his sister were absolutely fantastic. They set up a beautiful place for us to eat our breakfast in the tea room, gave us a tour of not only the hotel, but the town as well. Our breakfast was phenomenal, and huge, with good coffee and fabulous Bigelow and Wedgewood tea (of which they are a seller of you end up really liking it). I couldn't finish my food, and neither could my normally bottomless boyfriend! We were regaled with wonderful stories. I have never felt so welcome, or so reluctant to leave a hotel. Next time we go anywhere in that vicinity, I'm staying there for sure. The room was beautiful and clean. There was some renovating going on, and they publish their own newspaper, but we were advised of that several times and it really wasn't that bad to me. If you want a place that feels like home and friends, go there and you won't get disappointed. The next night of our weekend, I stayed at a 4 star hotel and wished I was here instead.
