Paid 53 but plus a $10 tip and feel like I got skimped on the rice..got 3 entrees and two of the rice containers are half full. I miss the old aluminum containers.

Food was excellent, service was probably the worst I've ever had at any restaurant. My husband asked if it was possible to have a listed appetizer (the "chilli" chicken) as an entree. That ended up with a chilli chicken appetizer being brought out without my order ever been taken, while the menus still sat on the table. I watched my husband eat half his meal before I finally had to ask a server if I could order food for myself, at which point the server gestured at my husband and muttered something to imply it was HIS fault nobody took my order. Still, my lamb korma was great once I finally got it (and ate it while my husband sat there because he had already finished his meal).

Visiting Charleston, WV for the first time, wanted something good to eat, so we found Nawab. Looking forward to some good food. However our experience was less than optimal. In my opinion, we were greeted rudely with the first thing out of the staff was , “we are closing soon, at 9”. It was 8:15, plenty of time to enjoy a meal. The restaurant was empty except for a few people popping in to pick up some to go orders. The food was ok, but we felt put off by the staff, I stepped away from the table and the waiter kept approaching and asking if we were done yet and even donned his coat on to leave . We were about ready to leave but felt very rushed to do it immediately, even though I was not completely finished eating. My husband settled up the bill and I was greeted by the staff that he had left and my food had already been cleared from the table. In my opinion the leadership of the establishment does not value customers and supports a grossly unprofessional atmosphere. Charleston offers plenty of other options of good food so in my opinion you would be better served to pass this place by.

I love this place! The food is authentic and delicious, they offer mild versions of everything for wimps like me! The tikka masala sauce is amazing, especially. Dip that garlic naan in there! Friendly service and nice atmosphere with quiet music playing. I usually order pick-up for lunch and have never had a problem with my order and I can easily get 2 meals out of an appetizer and entree. Vegetable Samosas, Matar Paneer, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan are my favorites. Highly recommend!

Had a mixed dinner of the sampler platter and Krahi with lamb medium hot ~ really good choice... Maybe didn't need the extra sampler bit. So much 😸 great food! Super tender lamb 👍🏼

I’m going to let the picture of Chicken Briyani speak the first part of the story. 3 pieces of large chick breast was covered with salted colored rice. ( made so called Chicken Briyani).

Secondly, when asked about proudly advertised home made yogurt. Server/Waiter confirmed it was in fact a supermarket yogurt sold with marked up price.

Finally, when we asked for water without ice, we were served warm water not room temperature but WARM water.

I 1000% do not recommend this place. Please do not waste your money here. Absolutely disgusting food.

Tried the Butter Chicken (Medium Spicy) today for the first time and was BLOWN AWAY, also had the AMAZING Garlic Naan!

The Butter Chicken has become a new favorite! The Chicken was tender and cooked in a DELICIOUS rich and velvety Tomato and Butter sauce. The Medium Spicy level had a NICE kick to it enhancing the dish for me!!

The Garlic Naan was AMAZING as susal!! Perfectly baked with the right amount of Garlic and Cilanto to give it that SUPER YUMMY taste!!

One word to describe my meal is PERFECTION!! Can't wait to go back and try something else!

I only ever got takeout/delivery but let me tell you, Newab is easily my favorite restaurant in Charleston! Any time I try something new I’m so happy with what I receive! I always order some type of paneer, it’s addicting, and the onion bhajia. I just tried the shrimp pakora and non alcoholic pina colada, AMAZING!! If I could eat here everyday I would!!
