We had a fantastic two-night stay at Coolfont Resort! The 2BR cabin was clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed for our family of six. We brought slippers after reading a review about the floors, but everything felt fresh and well-maintained.

The forest setting was beautiful, and being so close to town made it even better. The cabin gave us plenty of space, and the kids could be loud without us worrying about bothering anyone. Jonathan and his team were so kind and welcoming, which really made the experience special.

We loved the on-site restaurant and the Berkeley Springs Brewpub nearby. Cell service in the rooms was spotty, but disconnecting for a bit wasn’t a bad thing. For the price, it’s hard to beat what Coolfont offers. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

It was a wonderful weekday stay at Coolfont Resort. As we checked in, we were welcomed by the Front Desk personnel, the restaurant staff are friendly too. There was an arcade downstairs in the main building, where in my kids played claw machine, car race, pinball machine and many more, we had fun too. The restaurant is great, cozy ambience and good food. We stayed at the Woodland house, the room we had is spacious and it includes a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and a balcony. It was clean and relaxing especially the jacuzzi. We love our stay there that my husband wants to go back summer time for a probably longer stay so that we can enjoy some outdoor activities and their indoor pool.

Coolfont Resort had newly renovated cabins that are spacious and have two huge jacuzzi bathtubs. The rooms are spacious. The conference room at the resort can handle several hundred attendees. The catered food was adequate, but you're better off eating at the bar or in the dining room. The grounds are lovely . I recommend this place as a quaint CLEAN country place to rest and unwind. Don't go home without trying their HOT PRETZELS. SO MUCH FUN!

M & I wanted to see a friend of ours who is working at the Treetop Restaurant & Lounge. We had the chili, seafood chowder, and a cheeseburger. The soups were good, but the cheeseburger was AMAZING. Good flavor and a great bun. However, the cocktails ... what can I say?! Maybe I am being partial but our friend Dennis is a very talented bartender. I had to try his Campfire Cocoa, yummy! M had a Brandy Alexander (made the original way with ice cream: cool, slightly sweet) and a perfectly balanced Sazerac. We are looking forward to going out there again very soon. M & I were also impressed with what we saw of the resort and are thinking of staying a weekend - maybe in the Spring.

I say average because I don’t want to say poor-We rented a cabin for an anniversary weekend. Cabins are being renovated-they are cute and sufficient. Love the porch. We had a new bathroom. For two people staying 3 days/2 nights we appreciate having more than one towel/washcloth apiece though. New lighting as well but all lights were SUPER bright-no nightlight/lamp or dimmable light. The floors were very dirty-my husbands socks were black the afternoon we arrived. There is a coffee pot/mini fridge and microwave.||Our cabin was not ready at our 2:30 arrival time so we decided to get a glass of wine and relax. After waiting 10 minutes we didn’t see any employee at the bar we went back to the registration desk to ask for assistance. After placing our order and taking a seat on the outdoor deck the wine finally arrived. Not only was the order incorrect but their white wine was WARM-very warm. After sorting out the order to get the correct warm with wine we took in the beautiful view of the grounds and the lake. After spending the day driving and walking around town we decided to just order something for dinner to take to the cabin with us as well as enjoy a beer flight-that is still advertised on their website. FYI-they don’t do beer flights and they no longer have a soup and salad bar as the website states. We ordered a soup and salad [they do have a nice simple salad bar] to go and had no desire to visit the restaurant again on our stay. ||I have to say of all the shops, restaurants, places we visited on our stay the registration desk employees were the least friendly people we encountered. The least friendly of any hotel/resort we have stayed at.||We checked out a few other options for future visits. We enjoyed walking daily around the lake and we walked to the brewery across the road but overall this wasn’t up to our expectations.

I wasn't impressed with the wings and salad bar honestly. The wing flavors weren't kept in stock. The entire time I was there for good hour I would say there was no old bay wings. The salad bar station sauce cups kept going out of stock & the options at the salad bar weren't that fresh and tasted sour. The bar didn't have frozen margaritas cause machine was off. I have been to many different places for wings and salad I wouldn't recommend here that's just my opinion from my experience.

We had dinner at the Coolfont Resort while in town for vacation. We were really pleased. Dennis, our bartender, makes an excellent Bloody Mary with just the right kick. Dinner was quite good. The Double Trouble is a lot of steak! And the smoked trout was a great way to start the meal. The entire staff are super friendly. Apparently they’re getting ready to reopen their spa facilities and I’m betting this will become a great getaway experience.

What a great experience!! The resort is nestled in the woods and just so tranquil and serene! We went for an overnight stay and enjoyed every minute. We stayed in a king jacuzzi suite in the Woodland House The King sized bed with SO comfortable, and the room was very clean. |We had breakfast at the resort in the morning before we left and it was delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out. I can't wait to go back! I imagine the fall is absolutely gorgeous!!
