Always have a great experience at Modern Homestead. I stop for coffee occasionally, roamed around the nursery, and dine at a cozy dinner. The people are friendly and helpful. Love the local establishment!

I am always satisfied with my visits to Modern Homestead! As far as lodging goes, I have not stayed in the rentals, but my out-of-state relatives are returners!!
My questions about plants, gardening and ‘green thumbing’ are always treated with knowledge and care!! My success is do largely to the quality products and services they provide. And of course, I can’t forget the cafe! I am most satisfied by the wonderful drinks and treats.
Our extended community so needed their devotion to all things local—including Rustic Church concerts and weekend dinners.

An adorable guest house in the country. Time your stay to include a Cozy Dinner on Saturday that they serve in the Cafe across the road. Good teas and coffee- hot or iced plus freshly made baked goods. A family owned business.

The cozy dinners are the best! I highly recommend the experience. We have been several times and each experienced was unique and wonderful. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is adorable. They also have a great little cafe section and beautiful flowers.

I absolutely love coming here! Everything is so beautiful! And I couldn’t think of a better description than “cozy dinner “! From the seating, to the rooms, to the music… Everything is very cozy and comforting! Also, the food is exquisite. I’ve done these dinners a few times with my husband and always love them and choose to come back here for special occasions. For Mother’s Day (2 yrs in a row) my family and I went there for dinner. One of my daughters may be the pickiest eater known to man, and she devoured her meal! As a brooding teenager, I love watching her get excited over picking out flowers for our garden. Our area is so lucky to have such a place!

My wife and I stayed here in Suite A for our son's graduation weekend from WVU. It is meticulously clean, spacious and has great amenities. A kitchenette and large fridge are a plus and the whole atmosphere is great and homey. The greenhouse has some of the best looking flowers and plants we have ever seen, many of them unique and atypical of the area. The owners are very friendly and this blace is a well kept secret. A quick 30 min beautiful ride to Morgantown makes this a very affordable alternative to to overpriced chain hotels in town. Check it out!

I recently stayed at the Modern Homestead while judging the Mountaineer Open Horse Show at WVU. The Modern Homestead is a fantastic place to stay! The suite was very cute and cozy with tons of space!! I had the honor of meeting one of the owners and he was incredibly welcoming and was super sweet! Due to my schedule I was not able to eat at their cafe but I was able to try one of the deserts and it was a little slice of heaven! I highly recommend this charming venue!
