I recently visited Dylan’s Cottage Bakery & Delicatessen and was absolutely blown away! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a quick bite or a leisurely meal.

The selection of baked goods is incredible – everything from croissants and muffins to artisan breads and cakes. I tried their signature sandwich and it was easily the best I’ve ever had. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was perfectly baked, and the flavors were out of this world.

The staff were friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations and making sure every customer felt welcome. The attention to detail in both the food and service is truly commendable.

Overall, Dylan’s Cottage Bakery & Delicatessen is a gem! Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and pastry to go, or sitting down for a meal, you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

8/30/24: Popped in to check out the bakery case and ended up getting breakfast. Affordable and delicious. Loved the bakery and bread selection. All day breakfast! Helpful and friendly crew. Order the special which was a potato scramble and a half order of biscuits and gravy as well as an oat milk hazelnut latte. Everything was delicious. Gravy is traditional and slightly peppery. Biscuit is perfect vessel for the gravy, not fluffy but not dense. Potato scramble had eggs, ham, spinach, tomato, and onions. Very filling. Latte was done perfect.

Got a custom cake ordered for my birthday, and it was perfect! We've been coming here for awhile, but this is the first time I've ever ordered a custom cake. The process was super simple, and I loved that they had a visual guide I could reference when placing the order over the phone. The process was super easy, and I didn't feel rushed at all!
The cake itself was delicious and they brought to life the Max & Ruby cake I had always wanted as a kid! This was the best birthday I've ever had, and this was the first time my birthday cake was something I had complete control over. Thank you so much!

Oh my! They open at 4 am! What a dedication.

The size of everything sweet is enormous! Way too sweet for me, but why not if you just eat a donut or pie once in a while?

Not every bun is made today, though. The same applies to bread: we stopped by at 8 pm and the bread was packed in plastic bags and we noticed some vapor.

P.S. They also sell coffee, tea, sodas, jam, and maple syrup.

Kudos on an outstanding apple fritter. (!) Not oily at all. Moist and bready on the inside, lightly crunchy on the outside. Tasted wonderfully fresh. More than the usual apple flavor too. Really made us take notice. Maple bar was nice too. Even the thermos of self-serve coffee ($2.50 for 12oz cup) was pretty decent on its own (and nicely hot), but it really went well with the apple fritter and maple bar. Would happily return when visiting the area again.

This place purports itself to be a beach town bakery, but in my experience that was about all the appeal it had. The food wasn't exceptional by any standards, and it was also overpriced, which is understandable in a beach town BUT only if the food is good, which this place was not. Their employees were all friendly and helpful and it's right on the main drag which is why it gets higher stars for service and atmosphere, but if you're expecting really good food, you should choose to make your purchases elsewhere.

Remember when you were a child and you’d get a treat from grandma fresh out of the oven? Yeah, this is that place. So so so many desserts and they are soo big! They also have a deli. We ordered a sandwich and a cup of chowder. The chowder was so chunky and the clams were just ugh! So delicious! The sandwich also didn’t disappoint. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was cute like grandma place. Cookie jars surrounded the top of the walls that wrapped around the store. Takes me back to when we had cute cookie jars for my little ones. For me this place is dangerous! I would be here every day if I lived close. So I will make it a tradition to frequent here any time I’m in the area for sure!
