6/2024 - Why eat at a chain restaurant when you can dine at a local eatery? Kings Kitchen did not disappoint; great diner. Food had great flavor and was a perfect portion size. Staff friendly and welcoming from the time we opened the door until the time we left. Great to speak with some local residents of Tuscaloosa just to say hello even.

The food is decent but unfortunately the service has really gone downhill. Myself and 2 friends went for lunch today and the cashier my friend ordered her food with had forgot to send her order through. She looked completely preoccupied. It took 21 minutes for her food to come out and by that time mine and my friend's was cold. We all ordered baked chicken and all of our chicken was dry. Never brought us our drinks, just overall bad service. Paying $17 for lunch with really bad service, I probably won't return.

I am from out of town and staying one night on an RV site. I love having a taste of local food whereever we go. So I was really looking forward to having a good southern food. As always, I rely on Google reviews to point me to the right direction and normally the reviews are on point. This time, I'm disappointed. I ordered 5 PC catfish platter with 3 sides, and the catfish size were not all the same
(picture shows that 1 PC were half the size of the rest) the sides which is $2+ per order was a size of 2 spoonful. The taste is not something to write home about. Oh no tartar sauce or any type of sauces were included on my to go box. I guessed you have to request those. Overall so disappointed, it's my one chance to get one good meal from Tuscaloosa and it failed.

Can't believe I've passed by this place no fewer than 50x in almost a half decade for work and never knew it was there. I got the dressing with okra and mac and cheese with a slice of red velvet. Everything, from the cornbread to the gravy on the dressing, was delicious. I really can't remember the last time I had such a good meat and three. For everything with tax, I paid about $18. It was a little pricy, but the portions were good and the employees were all nice even though it was lunch hour and they were jam-packed. Definitely can't come here all the time, but I know where I'll get lunch when heading back to the office in Bham from now on!

First time customer here. This is a wonderful family owned and operated restaurant. The staff made us feel so welcomed. They checked on us and explained things since it was our first time. The food is absolutely amazing. The burger was real and tasty. The Mac n cheese was a perfect, creamy masterpiece. The fried chicken was hot crispy, and flavorful. The BBQ baked beans were tangy and delicious. The dressing was moist and had a home style flavor. My husband is the most picky human on the planet and he loved it.

The best kept secret soul food spot in Tuscaloosa! Hands down, some of the best food I've eaten out. Good down-home southern food fixed with love and without pork seasoning. My husband and I have dined here twice within a two week period, and we do not live in Tuscaloosa lol! Hamburger steak, gravy, fried okra, and authentic mac n cheese!! Delicious!! Fried catfish with no oil remnants, collard greens( delicious), yams.. I can't sing their praises enough! If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Simple dining and very clean. You need to come see for yourself! We love this place!! And the desserts....goes without saying... To the King establishment, thank you for preparing such delicious food. Side note, they do have pork chop, prepared separately from the rest of their food. I don't eat pork, but my husband does, and he said they are beyond amazing.

I had the pork chop dinner with mashed potatoes, Lima beans, cornbread and I also got the peach cobbler. Everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend eating there if you are in Tuscaloosa.
