Making this so a “recent” review could reflect this, and perhaps save people some trouble. ***I did not personally stay here, I chose to lose the non refundable reservation and not risk losing more money.*** I came here to see Google reviews and everything recent was fairly good! So we went ahead and booked. Through booking.com I was able to make the reservation (with a debit card mind you). Thankfully, I didn’t spend a lot on this room. Because apparently a debit card is good enough to make the reservation but not good enough for their $100 deposit policy. Interesting. That was the first flag!

Comb through the reviews before booking. They’ll accept your debit card to book the room but won’t accept it on site AND ask for $100 deposit on site as well, but ONLY with credit card. According to several reviews, you may or may not get back your deposit if THEY deem you did any harm to the room, whether it’s true or not apparently.

I ended up canceling my booking and taking the loss because I do not appreciate mixed actions. On here, the hotel speaks firmly on their “credit card only” policy. But according to other reviews, at times they HAVE accepted debit cards. And when I called last night, 4/6/25, the woman who answered said “We’ll be able to make it work with a debit card.” Because I called and said hey booking the reservation it was fine to take money from my debit card now my debit card isn’t enough suddenly when we arrive tomorrow So are you ONLY credit card or not? I felt like I’d get there and get rejected because it depends on who you’re talking to, whether that policy is strictly enforced or not. And I’m DEFINITELY not losing out on another $100 if we’re potentially lied on. Overall I don’t think I’d book here. Just the past experiences have me pretty spooked of how wishy washy things could go. I give 3/5 because I see for the most part people did say the stay was clean, and although it is in the fine print they do clearly state the credit card only policy so they’re not “hiding” it. But, still can definitely see how people could get scammed out of their money at this place.

This seemed like a 3 star hotel, not a 2 star, and was a great value for the money. Nice rooms, great bed, lots of chargers in the room, fridge and microwave. I have no idea why there are bad reviews of this place, but I suspect it has more to do with behavior of the reviewers than of the hotel. Will definitely be using Hotel International again.

Hotel stay was not bad. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the place being terrible. The price per night is worth the stay.
We paid $70 per night and it was better than a motel 6 or motel 8. Yeah a little outdated but really not that bad.

They “quote on quote” don’t take Cash or Debit.
Did not mention that we need to have A CREDIT CARD to keep reservation. Now, they were able to make it work with a debit card. But most places take debit card.. I can understand cash in case they need to charge a a fee or hold. So not understanding how that even works.

Regardless outside of that. Not a bad stay.
