Kikey's Cafe was delightful! Their decor was a good balance between whimsical and not overwhelming. The parking lot is small and busy. The food was so good-fresh, hot, great flavors. I really liked their Mexican Mocha in the beautiful ceramic mug. Will definitely bring friends the next time.

Visited here today for the first time. I haven’t had authentic Mexican food since moving here and this exceeded my expectations by a long run. It was so welcome and beautiful inside. The presentation and aesthetic was so beautiful! The waitress and all of the staff we had was WONDERFUL. They were so attentive and I highly recommend it!!

The chilaquiles was amazing! The salsa was flavorful and they chips were still a bit crunchy. The burrito was also good but the potatoes seemed to lack any flavor at all unfortunately. Wasn’t able to try the champurrado as they told me the barista wasn’t in yet. The aesthetics of the restaurant was cool, loved the Rey Mysterio mural in the hallway

I recently dined at here with my family on Christmas Eve for brunch and had a mixed experience. Here’s a breakdown of my visit:

Food:
• Chilaquiles with Salsa Verde: The dish was tangier than expected. Not quite my palette. I’ll stick with the salsa roja next time. I like mines on the spicier side.  Additionally, the tortilla chips lacked crunch, resulting in a soggier texture than preferred.
• Concha Rellena: A delightful treat that met our expectations. I’ve never been a fan of concha because I never had a really good one and I felt this was perfect. The concha was not dried at all and I found this to be just right amount of sweetness even with the whipping cream and Nutella. I felt like the bread really helped balance the sweetness of the filling and brought the whole thing together.
• Carne Asada Plate: My daughter enjoyed this dish; it was flavorful and satisfying.
• Chorizo and Eggs: My husband found this dish enjoyable, though I didn’t sample it myself.
• Nutella French Toast: My son felt it was average—essentially standard French toast with a Nutella spread.
• Beverages: The standout items were the Chocolate Abuelita and the Horchata Latte. The Chocolate Abuelita was smooth and silky, akin to a dessert in a cup. The Horchata Latte was sweet and slightly spicy, reminiscent of a chai latte but with a creamy finish.

Atmosphere:

The ambiance was exceptional, providing a warm and inviting environment that enhanced our dining experience.

Service:

While the staff was friendly, there were only two servers managing the floor, leading to slow service. Our food was served promptly; however, it arrived at different times, which was inconvenient as we preferred to eat together. Additionally, the servers were not very attentive; my son had to leave the table to request water.

Parking:

The parking area is quite limited, which could pose challenges during peak hours. We came here during brunch at 11:30 on a weekday on Christmas Eve. It started to get busy around noon (lunch time). There is another business that share parking lot, so you may want plan accordingly.

Overall:

My first Mexican Brunch spot in WA State. I’ve been to plenty in AZ, but never here in WA so I’m glad we got to experience this spot. We will try out other items in the menu when we are in the area.

Kikey’s offers a pleasant atmosphere and commendable dishes, particularly the beverages. However, improvements in service efficiency and attentiveness, as well as synchronized food delivery, would significantly enhance the dining experience.

I’ve been a loyal customer for a long time and I always get great service from the two regular waitresses—friendly, fast, and respectful. But today was a complete disaster. There was a male server instead, short, wearing glasses, with slanted eyes, and from the moment we sat down, his attitude was beyond unpleasant.
At first, he ignored our table, then came over with a sour face just to ask for drinks. I told him we were ready to order the whole meal, as I always know what I want—but he snapped back, “Drinks only.” Rude, but fine. However, just a few minutes later, the table behind us—American women who arrived after we did—told him they were ready to order, and guess what? He smiled and took their full order without hesitation. So what’s the difference between them and us?
The food was good, as always, but even the best dish can’t cover up the stench of terrible service. My food wasn’t even right. I tried to get his attention, raised my hand while he was right in front of me—he looked at me, turned around, and walked away. Fifteen minutes later, he came by with a sarcastic “Everything okay?” I had already finished eating.
I work in the restaurant industry too, and I have never seen service this bad. When it was time to bring the check, suddenly his tone changed—“Is there anything else I can get you? Thank you so much.” Of course, because it’s tip time. Normally I leave 25% because I understand the hard work behind the scenes—servers, kitchen, host, cleaning—but not this time. The disrespect was too much.
We all have bad days, I get it. But if you’re going to show up with that kind of energy, just don’t show up at all. Don’t ruin people’s dining experience with your miserable attitude. I’m not writing this to get free food—I’m writing this because people like that shouldn’t be working in this industry.
I’d rather eat out of a trash can than deal with service like the one I got from that waiter today.

Visited this place for the first time 2/19 and OMG what a find. The food is DELICIOUS and the service was GREAT!! We will come back and I highly recommend this place!!

The servers are so patient when taking orders and requesting changes to meals. The environment is very traditional and I admire that. Food is very good. Busy during brunch hour but come after and you have a lot better chance at seating

This place is sooo good and really authentic. One of the best Mexican spots in the whole US that I’ve tried, definitely the best Mexican breakfast in Seattle I’ve tried. The green chilaquiles are really good and the concha francesa is really creative.
