Our room on the first floor was spacious and had comfortable beds. The room temperature was set to 70 and we did not adjust it. The heating/cooling system did make some noise when it kicked in at night, but other than that and the smallish size of the bath towels, the stay was terrific and I would not hesitate recommending this hotel. I liked that I had access to coffee 24/7 using a modern Bunn machine. The great room was useful for our hockey team meals. This hotel is conveniently located to EWU.

This was my first time staying here and I must say, it was very nice. The rooms felt luxurious. They were well outfitted with all the amenities I needed, including coffee maker with tea pods. Soaps and shampoo dispensers were in the bathroom, along with a generous number of towels. The TV was large but didn't swivel to allow viewing while seated at the desk. The bed was perfect, not too soft, and not too firm. Breakfast in the morning featured eggs, meats, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, pastries, yogurts, juices, and more. In the summer, there is an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the morning air with your breakfast. There is plenty of parking around the building. All in all i had a very pleasant stay and will definitely stay here again when in the area.

I needed a place that was quiet after a funeral service for my mother. It was quiet, clean and I was able to unwind after very stressful days. The staff was kind and courteous. The breakfast was great as well. It was a good choice on getting a hotel for two days during a hectic time with the circumstances. It was money well spent and I am glad I did it.

Our high school Robotics Team stayed three nights and it was very good. Nice breakfast, clean, quiet rooms, and the staff was always accommodating to our needs. They assigned us a conference room that made our meals and planning for each day's competition much easier. We look forward to staying next time our regionals are in Cheney.

Check in was quick and easy. We had was a comfortable room with very comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean and plenty of towels. There was a pool and exercise room but there wasn’t any time for us to use them. Only downside to our stay was the limited breakfast options. But we were able to get something to eat (I can’t eat a lot of wheat and they didn’t have any eggs for the sausages.)

First, this is really your only option in Cheney. Also, we never used the breakfast offered, so I can't really comment on that--this survey would be best served if N/A was an option on that question.

The stay would have been better IF:

1) The thermostat had only an up/down option and if you set the temp at 70 or anything below, the air came out cold. In January, when it's 20 degrees outside, cold air is NOT an option. So, we had to set the temperature at 71 and that was just too warm at night.

2) No one came to make our beds or give us new/clean towels. (This is why I chose "average" on the rating -- had we gotten our beds made & towels replaced, this would have been marked as "excellent."

3) Sound proofing/minimization is needed due to this hotel sitting right next to the train tracks. If the train goes by in the middle of the night, you WILL be woken up.

4) Actual bars of soap is highly preferred over body wash -- just a suggestion.

5) More than 2 bags of tea would be great in the room.

Always great staff- lots of helpful advice and nice to be so close to Eastern Washington University. We appreciated the free ride service.

Would (again also said in previous reviews) be so happy to have a level 2 car charger at the property- as there is no other in Cheney. Sounds like this may be getting closer I hope you can find someone to install for you!

It would be nice to have a few more gluten free options at breakfast.

The other change that was disappointing was the coffee service now all comes out a shared nozzle, including hot water. Which means someone who has a coffee allergy can no longer use the hot water at breakfast. I could microwave hot water in room but hotel doesn't have ceramic cups anymore- just one that appears to be Styrofoam. I can bring a cup next time- most likely won't impact that many people- just feedback for someone who will be staying a few times a year from another 3 years.

This Holiday Inn was really great! From the front desk assuring us our room would be held for our late arrival to the custodial staff who kept everything spotless. Close to amenities like Starbucks, Safeway, Subway and the bus lines. Nice hot tub and pool kept clean with towels provided. They were beautifully decked out for the Holidays and have a really sweet gift shop.
