You have heard of it, the place mighty warriors go to get restoration after a life of mighty deeds. But did you know that within they also sell the, ‘best coffee in Tacoma’? Once I Heard it, dragged my weary behind in, despite it being a cold and dreary day. Looking for little liquid motivation and to see if the fuss was legit. Ordered a cappuccino, first sip was impressive! Strong note of chocolate,then cherry, each subsequent sip a pleasure of clean complex flavor. Stunningly good! Restore yourself from the battle of everyday, get into Valhalla and drink coffee that is made for the gods. Whether by the cup or by the pound get into Valhalla and drink the best coffee in Tacoma, maybe anywhere.

First thing you notice is the smell of dark roast, sadly not my preferred roast but this spot draws you in to order with friendly and talkative staff.

Tried a double espresso, as expected it’s a bold dark roast. Not to my liking but despite that I can absolutely tell it’s well prepared.

Also had a small latte, it’s served on the warm side as the milk is giving some off notes. Still a great cup of coffee, can’t take that away so kudos for pairing it well with the dark roast.

Not my fave place in the area but worth a stop if you're in to bolder espressos!

The latte tasted great. plenty of parking outside. Clean interior. Nice atmosphere inside but it was slightly cold and noisy. I wouldn't call it a cozy place but there is seating inside if you like to stay. The staff were professional but a bit on the cold side. It was a good experience but not great.

I have come here a few times, and I am always happy with my drink. I like to come later in the day because it's less busy and you can really speak to the staff about what they recommend and why. They all know so much about coffee and are eager to share with their patrons. They also sell bags of beans - they have a small roaster at this location so everything is fresh!

Another fantastic latte. Perfectly steamed milk and not scorched, giving some sweetness to balance with the espresso perfectly. ❤️

Went in on a Monday morning to start my week off with my favorite coffee that I haven’t had in such a long time. I was greeted by a woman who did not smile or welcome me in. I asked if they had sugar free white mocha because I couldn’t remember and she replied in a curt way, ‘no, we don’t have that flavor.’ Nothing more. She was awful and was having a full on conversation with her colleague in front of me.

Her colleague, mentioned that they do have other flavors that are sugar free. She then proceeded to make my coffee and called out my order. I said thank you with no reply back…

I work in customer service and understand that not all days are good days but leave your bad attitude at home. I love the coffee but this experience has changed my mind. I will not be back.

Nice place. Cozy little coffee shop. We traveled from Federal Way to get their special roasted coffee. The owner created us and shared his passion for coffee. It was great

I've loved Valhalla for over a decade. Great drinks in the cafe, and all of their roasts are delightful. My favorite is Valkyrie, but you really can't go wrong.
