This coffee and sandwiches here were great and their gluten free bread was wonderful (some of the best I’ve had) and they don’t charge extra for it! I had the BLT and tuna sandwich and they were both delicious. (Not sure about cross-contamination so be sure ask if that’s a concern for you). Gluten free bread is small but they will make you 2 sandwichs if you order a full or 1 if you order a half. I was very impressed and will definitely be back!

Such a cute gen!! My business partner Siena and I was in the area for our listing and needed to stop by somewhere for lunch and work on our game plan when we found this gem.

I had the grilled Turkey pesto and man!!! I came back 3 more times in 2 weeks!! Even bought my sister! She had tuna melt and she tried my Turkey. Mine was definitely better!

During our visit to family in Kent, WA, we decided to have a ladies’ brunch at Auntie Irene’s Coffee Shop in Des Moines, WA, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Before heading over, we glanced at the menu and found a variety of appealing options, which set our expectations high. Thankfully, Auntie Irene’s delivered on all fronts—coffee, food, and even ice cream.

The baristas and cashiers were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. They were especially accommodating when it came to making vegetarian adjustments to several menu items, which we truly appreciated. A special shoutout to Abbie and Angelina for their patience in answering all our questions and customizing our orders to perfection.

The café’s ambiance was peaceful and inviting, with a range of seating options to suit different preferences, whether you’re looking for a cozy corner or a spot to catch up with friends. The attention to detail in both the service and atmosphere made our brunch feel extra special.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Auntie Irene’s and highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality coffee, delicious food, and warm service. Whether you are a local or just visiting, this café is worth stopping by!

My entire family LOVES going here and we've gone for decades. I love their coffee and my kids love their ice cream (I mean so do I). We've had bakery items and lunch items and the food has always been great!

On 5/13/21 My daughter and I were driving around and came across Auntie Irene’s Expresso, Pastries and Gourmet Ice cream shop. The shop had many seating options; Kids corner. Small nooks. The interior decor and design is atheistically pleasing. We chose the exterior seating with a view under the sun ☀️

It was not busy during this time. Only one customer ahead of us. We had already eaten lunch so we decided on ice cream 🍦 dessert. I got the Almond Fudge on waffle cone. My daughter got the Maple Pecan on waffle cone. They were so yummy! 😋

We definitely will return to try other sandwich and pastries options they offer.

I tried Auntie Irene's for the first time today and I will 100% be back, probably tomorrow if I'm being honest. I purchased a twisted mocha and a slice of chocolate chip banana bread. The coffee was delicious and a good temperature (I didn't have to wait forever to actually drink it). The bread was soooooo good. It was a large slice too. I used the drive-thru, so I cant speak to what the inside is like, but I can say that the staff I ordered from was awesome. She also offered to make my dog a pup cup! ❤️

A fantastic place 😁

Drove through here looking for some coffee, and they delivered! I got a vanilla Americano and was very pleased with it. The coffee was strong and had a lot of flavor. We also tried their Grilled Turkey Pesto and Tuna Melt sandwiches. Both were fantastic! We were very pleased with the portion sizes also, very easy to split a sandwich with someone. Besides that, the whole atmosphere of the shop was really inviting.

Can't wait to go back!

It looked good in there. I do have 2 complaints. I was in there for 1 scoop in a waffle cone. Nobody was in line I was looking at the ice cream. I thought the lady was coming over to come and help me but she didn’t. So 5 minutes later probably little more I went and asked for help to get my order I guess that’s how they do it so okay whatever. I then ordered paid nobody was in front of me. I can’t make it up it took like 10 minutes to get my 1 scoop I don’t know what she was doing and NO they were not short staffed they had ALOT of people on so serious. Then she went to scoop the ice cream and DID NOT HAVE GLOVES ON !!!!!!! And put her hand all the way down the tub scoop the ice cream. She did have a wrap on my cone BUT I own an ice cream shop. I have scooped a lot of ice cream myself don’t even get me started. I can tell you your hand will touch the product by accident . I didn’t find that to be sanitary and if I was a health inspector they would have gotten dinged for it. I truly think that needs to be fixed WEAR GLOVES WHEN YOU SCOOP! It’s better for public safety and image of company. Even if you washed your hands I don’t know when or nothing + you were on register it can get dirty. Other than that it was okay 2.5-3 /5 stars. Good prices tho and cool outside space to sit.
