From the moment we arrived at The Ritz-Carlton, Portland, we were treated like VIPs. Natasia warmly welcomed us and asked about our visit, making us feel right at home. When I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and our marriage anniversary, the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay extra special.

Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had this incredible fresh scent—like a mix of a brand-new car and the comforting feeling of home. It immediately set the tone for a relaxing and luxurious stay.

Shortly after settling in, we were surprised by a knock at the door. A gentleman named Kyle arrived with a bottle of wine and a cake, personally sent by the hotel manager as a thoughtful gesture for our special occasion. Kyle was incredibly professional and welcoming, setting everything up for us right in the room. This unexpected touch made us feel truly valued and appreciated.

From the impeccable service to the elegant ambiance, The Ritz-Carlton, Portland made our celebration unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that goes the extra mile to make your stay special, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at the Ritz in Downtown Portland and it was a great experience. The staff are super helpful and courteous, very attentive to details and great with our baby. The hotel is beautiful, well kept and inviting. We enjoyed being able to walk to every place we needed to, restaurants and shops, parks and entertainment. For a great family experience try the Ritz Carlton Portland. It is weird fun.

Spectacular Property |The pool with 3 glass walls around it was amazing. It was up high so the views of the mountains, the river, and the upgraded buildings in the downtown area was very pleasant.|It had a nice size hot tub, and numerous chairs for lounging. |The room was absolutely delightful.|The quality of the amenities, the luxurious linens and towels.|It was spotlessly clean & sparkling.|The room was incredibly comfortable.|The lobby was a wonderful place to sit & chat by the fireplace

We stopped by for a drink. They have two bars. One off the lobby and another on the top floor. We choose the top floor. The bar stock is limited and the prices are high. The decor and view were great. But there's much better places to enjoy a cocktail. My take is the lobby bar is the better of the two. Like most places downtown parking is challenging. Full disclosure we stayed last September while in town for a wedding. We checked in at 4:30 and we were told our room was not ready, which was unfortunate since we had a dinner reservation to get to. Our room was not ready until 7pm. They didn't offer anything for our inconvenience but the room was lovely and we didn't think much of it.

Fast forward to last week, I was going through my credit card statement and noticed a $609 charge from the Ritz Carlton Portland, the exact price for the room we stayed in over 6 months ago!

Portland has so many luxury hotels to choose from, so I'll be thinking twice before staying at the Ritz Carlton Portland again because of their terrible service.

I traveled to Portland with 2 adult daughters to use an airline credit that I refused to just give to American Airlines! The hotel was great. The staff were very friendly and responsive to our questions about getting around the town. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable and always engaged with us as we ventured in and out to shop. ||Our room was very comfortable - two queen beds. We traveled from the east coast and had a little jet lag, but there was plenty of space for us to relax. I was surprised there was no desk in the room though. The bathroom is large and worked great for three women! The double sinks and a wet area for the tub and shower were fabulous. I dislike bathrooms that are so small that they quickly fill up with used towels and washcloths making the area uncomfortable to use until the room is serviced. Not the case here. We enjoyed being in the room!||My trip was short, and we weren’t able to try the restaurant or other onsite amenities. But the location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit in Portland. Overall, a great facility that is staffed with friendly people. I’m a picky person. I would stay here again.

I was so excited to visit a luxury hotel spa in Portland, so I tried out the Ritz for a pedicure after it opened. Overall, the spa was very nice but I left disappointed in the service and lack of thought that was given to essential amenities for guests.||The spa itself is very gorgeous and has wonderful views of the city. I enjoyed the relaxation room. I brought my swimsuit to use the infinity pool but learned when I got there that it was unavailable to spa guests, which was disappointing. Other luxury hotel spas I’ve visited in other cities allow spa guests to use the pool.||The pedicure was where the real letdown happened. It was all going well until the esthetician got to exfoliating/scrubbing my heels and I couldn’t help but ask “Are you using a nail file to buff my heels?” to which the answer was a nervous laugh of “yes, unfortunately we don’t have the right tools for this” and apologized. ||On top of that, the spa did not have any post-pedicure flip flops (again, another item that the cheapest of salons has). Because of this, I was asked to walk barefoot through the spa, which I then did since I didn’t have any other options. I was embarrassed to be doing this and can’t imagine that it was very sanitary either.||After my experience, I shared my experience with some friends who suggested I write to the spa. I wrote an email to the spa manager, Melissa, but I never received any response.||All in all, the spa presents a very nice environment to relax in the middle of the city. However, it certainly leaves aspects to be desired for a luxury hotel.

We really had a great time. The facilities were clean and the staff was responsive and helpful. We also loved the gym --- one of the best ever for hotel. Special shout out to Yanish for getting us into the restaurant for dinner. He went above and beyond. Bartender Kyle was also excellent
