We had a very bad experience with our dogs. They say they are dog friendly but they are not. They tried to charge us 50 because our dogs barked. They weren’t barking excessively either. I will never go here again. I wouldn’t go with kids either.

2nd time here... last year was ok...thought we'd book again. Anne-lise.fabe a nice warm welcome with 2 bottles of wine for our girls' trip....however, things quickly went south. People were in our rented rv when we arrived... They were then moved. Our fridge and air conditioner didn't work...Gene got the air going and then we turned on the gas to get the fridge working. We asked 4 times to get a bbq as the outside stove wasn't connected. Windows in the trailer wouldn't open until we forced them with a knife. Outside of trailer hadn't been hosed down or cleaned in a very long time....bird poop on all the windows and the vents full of branches and leaves. The door wouldn't close unless you slammed it shut but then the lock wouldn't work. Friday evening....no water....no communication from the office to tell us. When I questioned Gene...his answers were...you should have told me....I did call each time...but it was after hours so....beautiful location...I just wish they took better care of the RV rentals and their guests.

Liars Cove gets five stars from our experience. Not only was the campground clean and beautiful, the fish were practically jumping in our boat. To top it off, when I lost my hearing aide the staff not only found it for me but they also sent it in the mail to me ASAP at no charge. Can't say enough about Liars Cove - except, you should visit!

Very nice campground. Lake access with free access to kayak, pedal boat and aqua cycle . Though some of them were old or not well maintained, the kids had a lovely time
we had our spot reserved but when we arrived somebody parked his truck in our space and had to wait an hour to have his car removed. It would be nice that they enforced that people park in the designated sites
State park close to the camping with a nice playground as the playground of the camping is very old

Went with a group end of July 2023. Office people are very nice and helpful. Beautiful lake and surrounding mountains. BUT The campground is relatively small, which means everyone is packed in like sardines. Not much trees, unless you were down by the lake. Otherwise, you are in a gravel driveway not my kind of camping. We tend to go more remote, but the group we were with picked the spot. Unless you like wall-to-wall campers next to you then this is your place. Otherwise find another place. I will have to say though Conconully State Park is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful beautiful park.

I can't tell you how amazingly inviting this place is! I spent Mother's day weekend here with my son-and let me tell you-it was the best Mother's day I have had yet! The owners were so warm and inviting, and everyone was friendly and cheerful. We spent the weekend out on the beach, at the playground, the docks, the town of Conconully...it was so perfect. My son and I had a blast and we are so grateful for the wonderful hospitality we received at this resort. We didn't get a chance to fish, but there were so many fish visible and the lake seemed plentiful. My son keeps asking when we'll be going back and although it's a five hour drive, I assured him we'll be going back to Liar's Cove as much as humanly possible. I would highly recommend visiting to experience the beauty and love this place has to offer! P.S. There are plentiful off-roading and hiking trails in the area. As long as you are respectful, this small town seems to treat everyone as their own.

I really want to give this a higher review but it’s been twice in a row now where we had issues. We’ve been going here for years, the previous owners had this place running pretty smooth, we never had any issues. The first year the new owners took over we got covid and had to cancel, didn’t get our money back or at least some after we talked to them on the phone about it, that wasn’t the big deal though. The rest of the family that could still go got their whole reservation messed up because the lady on the phone after we told her several times the first name and last name on the reservation, cancelled their reservation instead of ours. So it’s been a couple years now, we figured they were still getting a system down during that first experience, no biggy. Went back for a day trip recently and rented some motor boats. They both had several large spiders in the boat, ruined the time on the lake because we had to keep dealing with them, a couple of the kids were really uncomfortable being around that. And one of the motors on the boat seized to top it off. We talked to the owner (male) and he got a little defensive and said they were “friendly” spiders, ok but who wants to deal with that? Especially when you pay $50…one of us got our money refunded… and the paddle boats looked like they weren’t being cleaned/maintained at all. One of them looked like it was sinking. This place is so beautiful, and we love the resort, I just think all of these things need to be more maintained, and pay more attention to detail when handling customers reservations. Not sure we will be back, this was sadly just our experience. Hopefully in the future it gets better.

Our cabin was nice, the air-conditioned room made the 90 degree outside temp. bearable. We had a great time on the lake, and rode 190 miles over the 4 day's we were there. We LOVE Conconully!!!
