Had a deluxe king room and I have to say that this in one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The fireplace was such a great feature to have as well as the wet bar. Everything has been renovated which makes it all very aesthetically pleasing.

The front desk person was so helpful and gave me some more coffee pods to use.

Such a wonderful experience. Probably will be back with family to stay in their villas.

It’s a nice place to stay while on Anacortes. The staff was friendly and curious. The Inn is close to town and within walking distance of a really great bagel place where we got breakfast. I was a little disappointed when I got my bill because there’s an up charge for a pack n’ play and early check in even though I think there was only a handful of guests. Plus there was a $10 resort fee, but trust me, this is NOT a resort. They had a continental breakfast but it opened at 9am, way too late. Over all it’s a clean and comfortable place but I won’t be staying here again.

Our stay in the 2Q bed with a kitchenette was very good especially since in February it was cold & sitting by the fireplace with hot soup was fantastic. Cor? at the front desk was so kind & helpful giving us directions to view points. The top of Washington Park loop was stunning! At the top a local asked how we knew about it
...it must be a secret gem. 😍

We loved our stay! It’s perfect because the $$ nightly cost is affordable yet offers everything we need and then some. Beds are extremely comfy, lots of pillows and the tub is nice and deep. We’ll be back for sure.

It's not often that a hotel experience gives you a story you'll be telling people for the rest of your life, but here we go!||||My wife and I checked into the Sunrise Inn for a one-night stay. The room looked fine, but we quickly saw maybe 4-5 long black hairs on the bed, so my wife went to the front desk to explain the situation and ask for a new room. The young man at the front desk came back to the room and we all looked at the hairs together. He acknowledged them and agreed to give us a new room. But oddly, he also said that the hotel has a strict no-smoking policy. We were confused by his comment and said that we understood the policy and that we do not smoke anyway. Then he said, "OK, but you can smell what I'm smelling here, right?" I realized that he was implying that 1) we had smoked in the room even though we hadn't; and 2) that we were lying about it. So my wife and I both very firmly told him, again, that we understood the policy, that we did not smoke in the room and that we do not smoke period. This is about when my radar started going off and felt like something was really wrong with this place.||||Anyway, after that random and mildly offensive exchange, he agreed to give us a new room right down the hall. The second room looked fine, so we thanked him and started unpacking our things again. But after a few minutes my wife pulled back the sheets on the bed, and guess what? More hairs on the bed (which, incidentally, is an issue that has been raised in numerous other reviews of this hotel, as we discovered after the fact). At this point, having found hairs on the bed in two of two rooms, we decided it was time to move on and find a new hotel. I packed up our bags and took them to the car, while my wife went to the front desk to inform the guy of our decision and ask for a refund.||||A few minutes later, I got a call from my wife, who was at the front desk and very upset. Apparently the young man would not give her a refund of the $200 room, so my wife told him that that was not acceptable and asked to speak to his manager. The young man called the manager on the phone, but the manager said the hotel has a 36-hour cancellation policy and that we were canceling within 36 hours of our stay, so a refund was not possible. This is of course ridiculous on its face since we were not changing our plans for any old reason; we were changing our plans because *both of the rooms we were given had visible hairs on the bed*.||||I thought this story couldn't any more absurd, but in fact, it does! When I got to the front desk, my wife was on the phone with our credit card company to file a dispute against the Sunrise Inn for charging us $200 for two dirty rooms we didn't stay in anyway. And what was the young man doing at this time? He was on the phone with the police (!), claiming that my wife was "screaming at him" and "coming at him." Now, bear in mind that I was not in the room when this allegedly happened, but the idea that my 5'5" wife was somehow threatening or intimidating this tall, young man is laughable, especially if you know that she hates confrontation and just wanted to get her $200 back.||||Sure enough, the police came. Within five minutes, three Anacortes officers were on the scene and taking statements from the front desk guy, my wife and me. At this point, I could not help but laugh as the situation was almost like a parody. I calmly explained to the officers what happened, told them that we could simply get a refund of our money from the credit card company if the hotel wouldn't provide it, and that we'd be staying at a different hotel instead. The police seemed satisfied with this, as did the tall young man, who apparently no longer felt threatened by a 5'5" woman.||||It took a few hours for us to settle down after this crazy ordeal. It was not a great welcome to a city we'd never visited before. Fortunately, we found a much better hotel right up the road (Marina Inn) and had a wonderful dinner at an Italian restaurant (Nonna Luisa).||||As for the Sunrise Inn, you can decide for yourself whether you want to stay at a place like this.

Great location, quaint town, beautiful views, nice accommodations, friendly staff. Highly recommend if you're visiting Anacortes. Girl friend and I had a great stay and walked to many local conveniences like grocery, restaurant and Walgreens.

Cozy inn in a great Anacortes location. Very clean rooms and friendly staff who accommodated a late check in. Comfortable bed with a desk, 2 chairs, and a clean spacious bathroom. Having a refrigerator and microwave along with free WiFi were helpful amenities. The heater in the room was a bit loud when it kicked on and off throughout the night. Easy checkout where you leave the key in the room and complete the process through a website. Otherwise, it was perfect for a quick overnight stay.

Room off the back was quiet- off season so the office wasn’t open often. We stayed 5 nights. This room is okay- needs a few fixes ( hook missing off bathroom door, tile grout could use a good cleaning, hair dryer melted in a few spots), yet it worked for us and we would return.
