The room was more then we could imagine. It was comfort just like home everything you need plates crock pot indoor grill. All we had to do is buy our food. A kerr for coffee. Wow diamond in a ruff... You are close enough that you can walk to eat.. A fire pit and outdoor grills. Even washers and dryers in lobby. We stay almost a month. You arnt aggravated with staff you have what you need. You meet the works and the give you ways to reach out to them if needed. It seems if you don't have what you need they will go out of way to try to get it.. It was like a home away from home...

No idea why this charming getaway hotel is listed as 2 star, say what? This is a 5 star boutique hotel on every level. The kind folks who run the place were delightful. My "check-in" was done on the front porch at twilight while sitting on a nice chair and seeing the last glow of sun over the quaint little town, greatest check-in in my life(I was expecting the usual lobby with a staff person trying to pretend they're happy Im staying there). The rooms are immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The mattress, pillows, towels etc are all as you would expect in a more expensive place, better than any Marriot or Radisson Ive ever stayed in. After a long day driving the beautiful backroads of Wise and Russell counties I was kind of stupefied when I found this hotel because I sure didnt expect such comfort. Thats why Ive posted my pics and included some scenic shots of nearby areas including the Clinch River. I could see this hotel being perfect for cyclists and canoeists, base out of St Paul and enjoy some Appalachian serenity. St Paul is also a charming small town with a few nice restaurants that you can walk to from Mountain View Lodge. I'll be back.

Fantastic place to stay! We had a very nice apartment in an outstanding location, walkable to everything in town. The apartment was spacious and VERY clean. All the rooms were well-sized and comfy. Would definitely be looking to stay here again next time I'm in St. Paul.

Our family of 6 just spent a long Labor Day weekend at the Mountain View Lodge in St Paul, VA. We stayed in the large 3 bedroom unit which was very clean, roomy, with a kitchen and living room area. It had everything we needed for our visit! We brought our 3 RZR side by sides to ride the Spearhead Trails which we really enjoyed. Booking and checking in process very quick and easy. Restaurants are within walking distance. Mountain View Lodge is a great place to stay and the location is perfect when visiting St. Paul, VA for trail riding. Owner was always quick to respond via text/phone with any questions about the area. Thank you Mountain View Lodge for a great family getaway weekend!! We will definitely be back in the future!!!

Can't say enough about how nice this place is. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms are so homey and the stonework by Ben, the stonemason, is beautiful. Buzz and his crew really did a great job with everything from the furnishings, to the snacks and coffee, to their extremely friendly welcome when we arrived. It's super convenient to the Spearhead Trailhead and downtown. The whole town of St. Paul was so nice. If you need a dose of friendly people, come here.

This is the best place I have ever stayed! I would give it 10 stars if possible! I stayed with a group of 8 or 9 people, and he had a room (room 115) that had enough beds for everyone! Coffee maker in the room, cable TV, wifi, and you get discounts for local restaurants just for staying here! Within walking distance of a great bbq place, quiet, clean. On site guest laundry, and there was even detergent and dryer sheet for use. I will be returning.

We went to St. Paul to ride the Spearhead ATV trails. The trails were awesome and so was Mountain View Lodge. They have one, two, and three bedroom units that are clean, roomy, and affordable. St. Paul is a very friendly town. We could walk to the restaurants. Buzz, the owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Great experience!!!! We can't wait to go back.

We visit this area once a year to see our relatives but the choices in hotels is very few, pretty far, and not very good. I took a chance on this hotel and was SO happy I did. ||We had a 3-bedroom suite that could sleep 8 (there were seven of us). While not opulent, we had everything we needed for an amazing price. It was immaculately clean and well-stocked. There's no stove but there is a microwave, a refrigerator, free laundry down the hall, and FREE Wi-Fi!! I also love the room system which is a key-in-code lock where you provide the code so its impossible to lose your room key. We also walked to restaurants and a grocery store which is a third of a mile away (with sidewalks the whole time.)||My kids were happy watching the one TV in the living room but if you have a big group that wants to watch different shows in the night, you might have a fight! The hotel also provided shampoo and lotion but I would have loved some conditioner (luckily, I had packed some too). ||I've already told all our relatives about how much we loved this hotel...I have dozens of cousins who visit this area so I really hope this new hotel does well for a long time!
