I came in for breakfast on a Wednesday. It was pretty busy. There were about 10-15 tables and 1 waitress was waiting on all of them. Probably the hardest working waitress I've ever seen AND she was polite and informative. It looked like there may have only been 1 cook in the back also working hard. There was a little wait which didn't bother me because they were genuinely trying to get orders taken and people served in order. I hope you're not planning to shut the restaurant down for that ridiculous cafeteria case of food setup. I saw this at another Petro and it was a joke. No one was manning the station, the food looked as if it was sitting all day and no one was getting food from there. Don't do it.

It's best days were a decade ago. Honestly, they never recovered after the draconian lock downs of 2020. It has taken them years to even be able to open up with regular hours, and they are finally serving on the weekends. Food is typical truck stop fare, and not terrible, but it really was so much better when they had their AYCE buffet years ago. I sure miss their salad bar, too...

6pm on a Friday after a long day of driving. 7 people seated at 5 tables, all have their food but 1 table. One gentleman ordering to go at the register. I sat at the 'counter'. Another gentleman joined me at the counter. After 5 minutes the gentleman next to me asked if it was self service. I told him I didn't know. After 5 more minutes the gentleman left. After another 5 minutes I was handed a menu by the one waitress and she was very sweet.
I ordered a bowl of grits and was told they just ran out, I ordered tomato soup and was told it was the last bowl, that's why it was as thick as chili. I sent it back. I asked what kind of pie they had and was told there's carrot cake, chocolate cake, or cheesecake. 🙄 I gave up and had chocolate cake and coffee. Not the greatest first impression.

A fairly standard Iron Skillet, but criminally understaffed. The waitresses do their best, but it's usually one gal and a cook no matter how busy it is at that moment. This, unfortunately, means the service isn't great.

I've seen multiple people come in, sit down, wait for ten to twenty minutes, then leave. Usually without getting water or a menu. I've also seen that the staff is trying their best, most of the time, but two people total isn't enough for dinner rush. Lots of tables full of dishes and needing cleaning.

I'm more than willing to give the staff a break. It's hardly their fault that there aren't enough of them. Hopefully they can get some help soon so they don't have to shut down.

The food is standard Iron Skillet faire. Not bad, not outstanding.

The food was overcooked, with exception to onions, peppers, and mushrooms. They weren't cooked at all. The soup was inedible as it was over seasoned.
Even the desert was a disaster. They were out of half the items on the menu.
Our server didn't tell us what drinks were available. they just asked what we wanted. She brought our bill before asking if we wanted anything else. Rude service all around.

Where should I start. Let's see 7 months every other week stopping here. Order the same thing. Chicken fried steak and fries with white graveyard on both. With NO bread. Out of those times my order has been correct 3 times. The rest of the time I would say every third stop I get the old we don't have that excuse. This one today 1/16/2025. Being one of them no gravy. Then the lady says in June I believe it was shutting down for 13 weeks to turn it into a black bear. No thank you. This is my last stop at this petro in Spokane.

I was quite disappointed that I had to go to a register to make my order & pay first.. I'm mean what happened to normal traditions of sit down restaurant, where waitress come to you & pay at end of meal, that way customer can evaluate food & service, before deciding on amount to tip. Food ok, as expected.
I stopped by again got a burger & fries everything on it. I couldn't help but notice hardly no onions on it ! Guess they run out? Service not so good, not like any restaurant I been to any where else. Customer has to order from register first, then go sit down. At least I not have to cook meal & do dishes.
