One of the best restaurants. I’m from Florida and typically the portions are little. But here the portions are big. The food is delicious and flavorful. Our waitress Maria was so nice and generous and sweet. I ordered the carne asada and I got a good amount and sides for $17. If I come here again definitely will come back.

My burrito was not very good.
I ordered it with cheese sauce that was watery, as were the refried beans. Seems like the meal was prepackaged frozen and tossed into a microwave.
The chips and salsa were good.

We love this place! Anytime we go out to eat, it's typically to here. Amazing food and they make a dang good margarita. Also, highly recommend the Nachos Monarcas!

Every single time I go back to my hometown I make my first stop at Monarcas Restaurant. Most of the staff have been there since the beginning and everyone is so polite and constantly check on you. The food is awesome but when I go it's for one thing, the chimichanga. I have ordered this dish at other restaurants but hands down there's only one winner and it's Monarcas. I always have to carry part of it home because it's just so much. If you're ever in Troy, Al. Definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed.
