Outstanding Stay at the Newly Renovated Courtyard by Marriott in Spokane!

I recently stayed at the newly renovated Marriott in Spokane and was thoroughly impressed. The renovations are stunning—modern, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. From the moment I walked into the refreshed lobby, I could tell a lot of care went into updating the space. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully styled with new furnishings and upgraded amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the smart TV and ample USB ports—perfect for both work and relaxation. The staff was equally impressive: friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Great location, walkable to downtown spots and local restaurants, and easy access to the riverfront. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Spokane—whether it’s for business, a weekend getaway, or anything in between. The Courtyard by Marriott has truly elevated the experience with their recent upgrades!

Positive: Location on the river. Walking distance to Spokane Arena. Ample parking. Negative: 1. Bed mattress was way too soft. Uncomfortable and hard on our backs.2. Inadequate sound proofing between rooms. Had people in room next door talking loudly at 11pm. Could hear them as if they were in our room.

The hotel is under construction / re model - there is no mention of it on website when booking - only way to enter the room I was assigned was by exiting building and using side door - then catch an elevator which smelt of smoke, - signs on the stairwell only to be used in case of emergency. The construction mess in the stair wells is no doubt a safety issue. |When I spoke to the front desk was spoken to very rudely. Very disappointed with the whole experience - I have lifetime status with Marriott and expect to be treated with a little respect. Construction noise was disappointing, i understand that this is not the quietest activity - but give us warning on the website when booking so we have the option of looking at other hotels.

Booked by my company travel office, I was unaware the hotel was undergoing major renovation. Noisy, smelly, and difficult to conduct my videoconferencing during the day. Great location on the river next to Gonzaga, but avoid this hotel until the remodeling is complete. No consideration given when we complained to the front desk. I expect better from Marriott.

An absolute embarrassment. The hotel was under renovation, which was not disclosed at the time of booking. The elevator was out of service, exposed wires, drywall debris and dust everywhere, pealing wall paper.
I certainly understand the need to renovate, however, the hotel should have been closed for this portion. An absolute health and safety hazard.
I was here for work and had to work late till around midnight. Awoken at 7:30am to hammering and drilling added insult to an already awful stay.

We have been kind here for years. We come because it's a good stop over place and they have a pool and spa that kids love. Recently, they filled in the pool with concrete. But the website still advertises that they have a pool and spa. Oh, and there were at least 10 to 15 pubic hairs in the bathtub when I went to run my son a shower last night

A year to the date repeat stay ! Renos in progress but no effect on us. Location is wonderful for riverside walks. I suspect this hotel is very busy during school season (less so on our visits December 22) .. that said I think we still paid full rate (no special discount rates for December empty time or reno work). Thanks.

The hotel is undergoing some updates but they did not interfere with our stay. The rooms could use a little refreshing but it was large enough, had a small sofa, a small refrigerator, the TV had a crystal clear picture, bed was comfy. Despite the close proximity to Division it was very quiet, we were on the river side and the walkway was lovely. I would stay here again.
