This place was awesome! Here are some details some might be looking for that I wasn’t able to find online through the website or reviews. The cabin we stayed in (ellinor) had a small kitchen that was stocked. Items provided were silverware, basic cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. They provided paper towels, soap, towels, garbage bags, firewood, etc. Not every cabin has a direct view of the lake, but there is a steep trail/stairs down to the lake to get a good view of the lake. There are some really cool common areas with fireplaces, a common room to check out games, TV’s, grills, etc. The buildings were built in the 1920’s but you wouldn’t know it. The caretakers have done a phenomenal job making these comfortable clean cabins for use. Our cabin had a book showcasing the changes the building had undergone to make it what it is today. We had no elders with us, but if you have anyone with accessibility issues planning your trip, be sure to give the owners a call to see which cabin they recommend as many of these cabins are accessed by stairs. We had cell coverage at this property as well. All this being said, I give the place 5/5 stars because of how well they have preserved this property. They really did a great job fitting this into the landscape as I’m sure there are difficulties operating within a national park. Great job and we will be back!

Funky, charming, and expensive -- $700 final cost for two off-season nights (for the cheapest cabin). Nice to have a kitchen (but on the small side), bed was comfy, great view, and fireplace added the right vibe. The on-demand hot water system was tepid and erratic; we did not trust a shower.

We had a nice relaxing time at the Colonel Bob cabin. We loved the wraparound porch with beautiful views of the lake, and took advantage of the kayaks and canoe. The setting was very peaceful and we would definitely stay again. It was a highlight of our trip.

This is our third year for staying for days at the beautiful Lochaerie Resort on Lake Quinault. We just returned less than a week ago and we have already booked our return for next year! If you enjoy peace, quiet, serenity, and silence then this is the place for you to come and spend, four days in this little solitude slice of heaven.||These cabins were built back in the late 20s and early 30s and takes you back in time. They are small, quaint, and they are clean and well maintained. They are a time capsule into which you can climb and spend four days with a beautiful setting on the lake. We had a group of five otters out in view of our deck, a bald eagle who gave us a flyby, and various other birds who would wake us to their Welcoming melodies in the morning.||If you are looking for a special place to unwind, recharge your batteries, so to speak, then this quiet cabin setting is for you. We booked our annual return visit yesterday!

The resort is amazing, we stayed here last weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better location and experience. It’s situated in one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in the PNW. The beach and fire pit area were visited each evening after a full day of hiking and exploring the Olympic Mountains. What happened to Cheryl Lynn Mcmurry near the graves creek trailhead?..

This place is amazing! Wonderful cabins beautifully situated on Lake Quinault. Near the coast, rain forest, and the mountains of Olympic National Park. Use of canoes, paddle boards and kayaks included. Lots of wildlife. Owners/hosts were very helpful and responsive. Hoping to visit again next summer.

This was our last stop on our PNW adventure, We anted a nice peaceful, natural cabin, to chill out; we got it in spades. We stopped in Colonel Bob, this has a wonderful view over Quinault Lake and beyond, completely unspoilt. Bald eagle nesting with the neighbour, we saw it fly in close a couple of times and could see another nest in the distance; family of sea otters going past beneath us. It was great to walk down the few steps and kayak across the lake. Just up the road you have wonderful rain forests. Around 40 minutes to the beautiful unspoilt Beaches close to Kalaloch. We did go south of the lake but were pleased we stayed at Lochaerie on the North side. We were lucky to have decent weather and so used the BBQ and ate on our deck overlooking the Lake. Yes there are a few steep steps down (and back up) to the car but worth the effort. |There are a few places you stay that will be a lasting memory, this for us will be one.|Thanks
