Really solid Marriott property just a few minutes from the Microsoft campus. It’s on the smaller side overall, but well-kept and feels modern.

Rooms are compact, kind of a European style—so don’t expect tons of space—but they’re thoughtfully designed with some nice touches. Everything felt clean and comfortable.

There’s a $15/day parking fee, which is pretty reasonable for the area. They’ve got an indoor pool, a surprisingly spacious gym, and a cool outdoor space they call “the backyard”—basically a nice patio setup that’s especially great when the weather’s good (which is a lot of the year).

All around, a really good stay. Would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area, especially for work.

I stayed at Aloft Redmond for 2 nights. The hotel felt new and spacious. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I did not try the food or drinks at the bar as there were nearby restaurants within walking distance so I chose to Uber to a nearby Italian restaurant. I also liked the fact that they had covered parking which had motion detectors and it had a security bar at the entrance. Parking was not expensive compared to downtown Bellevue hotels that have valet. The area itself is in the suburb of Redmond and seemed very safe. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a hotel at this level. Breakfast is at the Element hotel across from it and accessible via skywalk on 2nd floor. It was pretty standard decent quality food and they also had a good omelette station. Will I come back? You bet.

It's the nearest to the Microsoft offices with good access to nearby stores, restaurants and supermarkets.

Gym and pool facility is good.

No breakfast will be provided. Water can be refilled from water dispenser in gym

This used to be my go-to hotel when I was in Redmond for work, but I'll be booking elsewhere until they improve some core housekeeping and maintenance issues:
- Shampoo and Conditioner bottles in the shower were both empty when I arrived
- While I was showering, the metal toiletry shelf suddenly collapsed off the tile wall and fell onto my foot, cutting it. When I inspected the shelf, it wasn't even attached to the wall with screws (probably why it detached and collapsed)
-While I was getting ready for work around 7:30am, there was a knock on the door. I barely had time to cross the room to answer it before housekeeping opened the door and let themselves in. I'm no hospitality expert, but generally housekeeping should know to wait more than a nanosecond after knocking before just entering a room, especially at that hour of the morning when there's a fair chance someone will be in there.

I've been here one night and already this is the worst stay I have ever experience at a hotel. Hotel of the future? NO WAY. What they advertise online is NOT what they provide. When I booked online it was advertised a complimentary continental breakfast - nothing provided but a little market where you pay for overpriced snacks. They also advertise complimentary coffee and tea but charged me $4 for a cup of hot tea and lemon wedge. The staff at the front desk and in the bar are rude (save one really nice woman who did her best to accommodate when the front desk staff didn't). The nighttime activities outside the "U" shaped hotel make sleeping almost impossible as you constantly hear the slap of cornhole games. The toilet doesn't flush all the way - so you waste water flushing it 2 or 3 times. The rooms have a terrible set up with a tabletop over the air conditioning, so anything you set on that table top would get moist. I ordered breakfast via their online ordering service and then two seconds later got a call that the kitchen was closed for cleaning and could not complete the order (maybe shut down your ordering service or put of a notification?). If I could give it negative stars I would.

Convenient location close to Microsoft. Walking distance to public transportation, retail and good restaurants. Rooms are clean and well stocked. Service at front desk was also very good. Would come back again if need to stay in the area.

Nice and clean. Very modern and somewhat minimalist feel, which adds to a nice open feel, though the rooms are smaller than you think. Plenty of outlets and food use of pass through plugs for the alarm clock. I do wish the rooms had microwaves and I was a bit confused about the of the shelf mini fridge shoved under the sink. The food and drinks at the WXYZ lounge in the hotel were great, though the drinks were significantly higher priced than expected. Thankfully the food was very reasonably priced and of much better quality than expected. The 3rd floor patio is definitely a nice little quiet haven, with a fire pit and covered BBQ area. The enclosed pool was a nice touch, not large, but big enough to be fun.

Aloft is a pretty nice hotel. I would stay again. However, we were unlucky with the thermostat. The air condition was either too cold or too hot. They also increased the pet fee to $50 a night and that is a bit steep for any pet lovers that wanted to stay in aloft. The mattress also caused back pain for us which is rare in hotels for us. The pool is mostly for kids because it's tiny. However, it's very convenient for people who work at Microsoft and it's not too far from Seattle downtown! The bar at the bottom is staffed with friendly people and have retro arcade games to play between two people. Overall it was a good experience. I just wish it was not so expensive for the pet.
