My friends had tried the 7-course chef's menu at this restaurant before and thought it was amazing, so even though it was a bit out of the way for our weekend road trip, they brought me here specifically. And it was indeed incredibly delicious! My friends were also pleasantly surprised to find that every dish, except for the dessert, was different from what they had before, but just as delicious! The seafood appetizers were extremely fresh, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta and fish were uniquely and wonderfully seasoned. We loved and enjoyed every single dish! The dessert was a bit too sweet for me, but it was beautifully presented with a unique fragrance. The price is very affordable for fine dining. We were joking that you can only have the two appetizers for the same price & quality in Seattle. I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to pass by!
Also the service was so great, especially after we had some bad experiences in other restaurants during our road trip...

If you want good quality bang for your buck food, McDonald’s is right next to this place. I understand they change the menu and I am one all for good food no matter the price. I came with my family for an anniversary dinner and all of us were just disappointed. From the food being bland to the drinks being mid. My dad loves coffee and could not drink his coffee as it was stronger than the Incredible Hulk. For what you’re paying I expect good quality coffee, again McDonald’s is next door. If you’re going to spend around $350 plus tip I expect for the table of 6 to leave full and content. From the smallest portions to the bland food I will never come back. The service was not great either as they took forever to come back to us to check in time and again. The building is nice and modern and lively. We ordered this ravioli dish and there was barely any filling and all you could taste was under cooked mouth full of dough, actually I can’t say mouthful because only 1 ravioli per person as this is a kind of sharing type restaurant. The curry, bland. This bread with weird sauce and just I don’t even know, bland. All in all, bad experience, way too expensive and I do not recommend coming here. We did in fact grab a burger from McDonald’s after. I will not be back here, and I do not recommend this place. (Please excuse tiny the best pictures) I was blown away at the lack of everything I just couldn’t remember to take good pictures.

An absolute experience above the rest. If you live in Yakima and haven't visited Crafted, you are missing out. If you are visiting Yakima and Crafted isn't on your list, I recommend adding it. The location is easy to get to. Close to the downtown Yakima hotels. A greeting with a smile as you come in setting the mood for a welcoming dining experience. This will be a part of your visit that you won't soon forget.

The changing menu gives it the fresh new taste that you can always come to expect that something amazing is awaiting you. Seated at the bar top by the kitchen I was able to watch how the kitchen team worked so well together to craft each dish. Taking passion in what they do. Striking up conversation with you, making you feel at home.

The first dish was the scallops. Perfectly cooked. I have never pictured scallops as a fall dish, but after the presentation and the flavors packed into it, I can't think of fall now without thinking of the savory pine nuts paired with the scallops. Drinks were perfectly paired and followed by the chocoflan. The staff giving recommendations that didn't disappoint. You can feel the environment there is one that they enjoy being in and each of them treated me with the friendliest demeanor. Not feeling that I was just being assigned to one person and feeling a cold attitude from the rest. No. Here they all worked together to create a welcoming atmosphere to pair with the amazing food.

I look forward to coming again and trying what other flavor packed dishes they come up with.

Chef Koommoo, Molly, Kelly and team should get an extra star for their ability to be this good on every level, yet remain unpretentious and make it look easy.

Crafted is solid! Kind people flowing together and cranking out crazy good locally sourced food and drink.

The menu no doubt changes regularly but we loved the tartare, chanterelles, tagliatelle (that cashew cream with the beet pasta 🤌), and the sturgeon poke. All were perfection.

The crafted team makes the local ingredients and creativity work without a hint of coming off as disjointed, fanatical or pretentious, which is hard to do when executing what they do, and it’s not hard to find locavore restaurants that fail at this anywhere you go!

We recommend sitting at the bar by the kitchen, it’s a show. Beyond food prep, it’s also fun to watch how well the team flows and knocks their tasks out without being too harried. At one point ≈10 orders of oysters came in and we watched Chef Dan team up with his people and methodically crank out the shaved ice, freshly shucked/arranged kusshis, and mignonette in just a few smooth minutes.

Noise level and drinks are dialed. The Bartender’s a gent and a pleasure. Didn’t have dessert but they looked fabulous. The modest and straightforward flatware, tongs and dishes are actually artful in how they fit into the mix.

If we had one suggestion it would be to either offer two sizes of the sturgeon or reduce the portion just slightly. Even though it’s a shareable like everything else, it’s SO good and SO rich that it’s overwhelming - but turns out it’s amazing on eggs the next day, too.

Thanks Crafted team for showing how it’s done. Can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided to try this place out. I have heard good things about it and thought this would be a special treat to enjoy a nice dessert to wrap up our evening. The atmosphere was wonderful and the servers were polite and attentive. We ordered the cheesecake which sounded and looked amazing. This is where it took a horrible turn.
As we were waiting for our dessert we both proceeded to watch 2 workers trying to cut the cake. Both were not wearing gloves and were both touching the cake as they cut it. My wife who has an autoimmune disorder needs to be more cautious to exposure of potential sources of infection became immediately upset in watching this.
Myself as a medical professional also became upset at watching this. When the server came to deliver the dessert we politely declined it and explained why. The server completely understood and took the dessert away and tried his best to rectify the situation. We appreciated his efforts. I have no doubt they wash their hands but I would have expected better from a restaurant of this caliber. The menu looked amazing and sounds amazing and I would love to take my wife back and enjoy some of their food. But after witnessing what had happened we definitely have a sour taste in our mouth to return.

Wonderful evening with fantastic food! We enjoyed the shareable aspect of the dishes! The beets and Brussel sprouts were delicious! We had the sticky toffee pudding and the peppermint pinecone for dessert and savored each and every bite! Spectacular! We will definitely be back!

If you love innovative, local, seasonal, fresh food in a lively but still inviting environment with attentive, quality service, this is your place. I’ve been a customer at Crafted since it opened; even though I don’t live in Yakima anymore, I always make sure to pay Crafted a visit. It’s hard to choose a specific dish, but their pasta dishes, desserts, vegetable dishes, and cocktails are innovative and deeply flavorful. I’m a vegetarian, and it’s rare to have flavorful veggie options in a small town. Some of my veggie dish highlights over the year have been Brussels sprouts, crispy rice, summer squash, cauliflower, fried oyster mushrooms, and muhamara. You can’t lose with any of their desserts, but the s’mores are a whimsical hug of nostalgia. And the earl greyhound cocktail always gives me life.

Side note: I’d encourage you to look past the one-and two-star reviews. Anyone who takes time out of their day to write a one-star review after a single visit to a small business (especially over something like stairs or seating at a restaurant, which is a place where we EAT) likely walked through the doors looking for holes. If you’re reading this and thinking about giving a one-star review, please first reach out to the restaurant’s owners directly—they are kind souls and will likely make it right for you!
