What was supposed to be a relaxing night with my fiancée was spent on the phone with my bank. I booked and paid for the room through Expedia. When I checked in at the front desk, I had to run my card for the $50 security deposit. The hotel staff was having trouble with their system, so I had to run my card a second time. An hour later, as I was in my room, I checked my bank account and noticed a $200 charge from the hotel on top of the $50 deposit (I had already paid Expedia). When I noticed the charge that night, I went down to the front desk to ask them about it, and they said they hadn't charged the money. I literally held my Wells Fargo transactions up with the charge labeled and dated "Hilton Garden Inn" from during my check-in, and they simply denied it. I spent the rest of the night talking to my bank and Expedia. Both confirmed that it was indeed the Hilton Garden Inn front desk that charged me.

I understand that computer systems act up, and something could have gone wrong. The lack of accountability or effort to look into the issue, however, was baffling to me.

I would like to say the room was clean, and the bed was nice.
Beware of double charging, the staff will not help you.

Let the record show, I love Hilton properties. I am a Hilton Gold Member, but I feel compelled to warn the travel community that this property needs a Management Review as the front desk staff is not the quality you expect when you stay at a Hilton. We were in town for the State Dance Championships from 03/27 to 03/29/25, confirmation #3201624328. We recommended this hotel to the entire team as we stayed there in 2022 and had a great visit. However, both families that took our advice and stayed there were harassed by the front desk staff and told they didn't pay for breakfast, even though it was clearly on their Hilton reservation on their phones. Instead of de-escalating the situation and just giving them their breakfast coupons, both families were met with resistance as if they were trying to steal a hotel breakfast! Hence, I am hoping this review will lead to some better training for the front desk staff. On Friday evening, there was a large maintenance truck under our window on the parking lot side, running something sounding like a pressure washer. I should have taken a picture of the truck and recorded the sound, as the next morning I asked the front desk why maintenance was happening at 11:30 at night? The front desk person on Saturday, 03/29/25, around 9:45ish, a blonde with an Eastern European accent, gaslighted me and said no truck or maintenance had happened last night. Once again, Hilton training is needed here. Don't lie to a customer's face, just tell me what was going on. Obviously, this work needed to be done, so just tell me why an air compressor truck was under my window. The fire alarm that someone pulled on Saturday morning was not the property's fault, but it did not add any pleasure to an already poor stay. I hope this leads to Hilton Quality Customer Service Training for the front desk staff.

The room was clean, but not at all what you would expect for the price. When we asked about the breakfast that our booking receipt said was included with our room, we were verbally abused by the woman at the front desk. Housekeeping skipped our room the one full day of our stay which meant we did not have coffee for the second morning and the fire alarm went off multiple times the morning of our departure at around 8:30am. We will never stay here again.

Very disappointed. Especially with the high room rate we paid. The front desk staff were not customer service oriented and certainly not friendly. Our room was adequate, but the sink was partially clogged and did not drain properly. The house keeping service also never came. There was no glass ware in the room, just paper cups. The WiFi was also very poor. Good WiFi, overnight parking, and a decent breakfast were all additional charges that should have been included when paying $400 usd a night for a room.
This is not up to Hilton standards. Stay elsewhere

Positive: The staff was friendly, and the common areas were clean and well-kept. Negative: The room was dingy, the sink did not drain, food was left in the refrigerator, it smelled of stale smoke, and the room overall was not what I had come to expect from this hotel.

As a HH Diamond mwThe worst Hilton I have ever stayed. The receptionist (Angela) is extremely rude. She threatened my friend for using the gym early (around 4.30 am) and was always very angry faced. There are better options around like Fairfield. It is incredible to learn how one person can ruin a long term customer. I really felt sad after staying here.

Positive: The location was nice Negative: The beds in the hotel were terrible!!! So bouncy, no support and when you when to go sit on them you felt like the mattress was going to fold into two. Also I thought there would have been the free breakfast buffet since the hotels in the area offer that.
