Highly recommend the “Old Place Bed & Breakfast” anytime you are staying in Amory, MS. This quaint and quiet spot is like spending relaxing time on a farm in the country. The rooms are adorned with antiques and family heirlooms. There are also 2 beautiful claw-foot bathtubs to enjoy a luxurious bath. There are incredible sunrises and sunsets to be enjoyed. The hosts - Theresa and Jimmy - are wonderful and always checking in to see if you need anything. A great spot run by even better people.

We stayed one night in The Old Place on our way from Nashville to New Orleans in May this year. We were in America for the first time and having an amazing trip, but even so the Old Place stands out as one of our best experiences. We had the house to ourselves and it's just beautiful. The seating area outside is lovely and we've brought some ideas home for our own patio. We loved chatting with Theresa in the morning and enjoyed her recommendation of the Atkinson Steak House. So relaxing. So go!

My husband and I stayed one night at The Old Place while driving from Nashville to Natchez on the Natchez Trace. We loved it! Such a peaceful place if you are looking to "get away from it all" for a few days. It is lovely inside and out. We had so much fun exploring the yard and garden. Great sitting area to enjoy sipping your morning coffee. Theresa the owner has decorated the entire house with so many neat, vintage finds that gives it a comfortable "homey" feel. There are 3 great bedrooms and 2 nice bathrooms. Would be a perfect place to travel with another couple or a family but we enjoyed having the house to ourselves. Some cool little shops to browse in downtown Amory too.

Our one night stay as part of a business trip was perfect! Nice peaceful setting in a house built in 1925 and filled with interesting things to look at and lots of unique reading material (Look magazines from 1967 anyone?), lovely hostess, very comfortable bed and linens, donkeys and geese and sheep in the yard to enjoy, good temperature control and cozy fake fire in the fireplace in our room! I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom reading midday. Just a unique and cozy, clean and well appointed place to stay not far from town! We would stay again!

My husband and I both have family here and we live in Atlanta. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting both families and lots of old friends. Cozy, comfortable and peaceful. What more could you ask for? From the on site farm animals, the historic memorabilia, antiques and most importantly, familiar objects that remind you of younger days, this is the place. I live about 45 minutes from The Old Place and I have toured it before and always wanted to stay. Two of my friends and I decided to have a girls weekend and I knew this was the perfect place. I cannot explain well enough what a wonderful place this is. You immediately relax upon driving up to it. It's a small 3 bedroom home with a big southern front porch complete with a swing and immaculate lawn and landscaping. The home is lovingly decorated with antiques and every comfort is thought of. Each of the two bathrooms has an amazing claw foot tub which we all took turns enjoying the whole weekend. There is a lovely covered back porch for lounging with an outdoor fan and water fountain, a beautiful breakfast nook and the bedrooms are comfortable and inviting. The fridge is stocked with a variety of drinks and snacks and just about anything you need is available. Theresa Glenn, the owner, is a sweet, friendly, gracious lady who made us feel so welcome. She made us an amazing breakfast of egg casserole, fruit compote, home made biscuits and sausage with juice and coffee. She was very friendly and I enjoyed her company thoroughly. When you sit on the front or back porch you can enjoy the country to the fullest. She has geese, sheep, donkeys, cats and dogs spread around her property. She also has a muscadine vine which she let us pick all we wanted from. It was just the perfect place to relax and we loved it so much we decided that every couple of months we will return for a mini get away. If you're thinking of coming to the area, don't think of staying anywhere else. This place is amazing!!!!!

We stayed here for one night on our way down the Natchez Trace. Theresa was a great hostess, very welcoming and helpful.||||The room was very nice, well kept and decorated. ||||Breakfast was hearty and delicious, wonderful!||||We had a great time and heartily recommend The Old Place!
