The Catering Place recently catered my wedding and they did an absolutely amazing job! Everyone raved about the food! The bartenders were also excellent throughout the night. The whole team really comes together day of to make sure everything looks and goes perfectly. Jnel made sure to go over every single detail more than once during the planning process to make sure all bases were covered. Including a variety of guests with specific allergies or dietary restrictions, they were able to have a vegetarian plate prepared for those specific guests who needed one. I would highly recommend them.

The Catering place is the ultimate place to go for anything catering/bartending services related. We used them for our August wedding and were absolutely blown away by the top tier customer service that was provided.
I have been in contact with Jnel from the start and I can honestly say she was the easiest most communicative person I’ve worked with throughout the entire process. I emailed with her countless amounts of times and can’t thank her enough for her dedication to helping make our day what and how we wanted. Her husband and chef Corey is also top notch. Everyone keeps talking about the smoked brisket.
The bartending services- wow. Quick, efficient, no long waiting, and super friendly, they killed it in every aspect.

Jnel and her team were top tier. Every part of our experience with this company was beyond satisfactory and exceeded expectations. We booked The Catering Place for our wedding a year before the event and the entire process was seamless. We first went to do a tasting at the store and the food was delicious. Everything was well seasoned, the meat was not dry, and the food was not overly salty. The catering place offered a great variety of options for our menu to also include special accommodations for any dietary restrictions to include both vegan and vegetarian diet preferences. We ended up booking them as our caterer. Had we have not booked them, there would have been a per person tasting fee. This however, did not apply to us since we ended up ultimately going with them. I got married 5/2024 in Hampton, Virginia. Although they are centrally located in Suffolk Virginia, her team was prompt, excellent, and effective at executing everything the way we needed it despite the distance travelled. We used her bartenders for our open bar that we provided the liquor for. They were all great. Jnel is extremely accommodating and friendly. Her team helped to make our special day perfect. It was truly a pleasure to work with her. You can tell that Jnel is a veteran in the game and she has done this many times before. Her experience is evident and this is the confidence that you want on one of the most important days of your life. I would 100% recommend The Catering Place to anyone looking for a caterer for their wedding. Jnel, we cannot thank you enough for everything!

Food and service was fantastic for our wedding!! They were very good at communication the entire process which is something I highly value. Amazing food, even our pastor said it was the best food he's had at a wedding! Just some advice, ask many questions about what is included in each service because I didn't realize what was not included in our service until we were going over things a few weeks before the wedding so we upgraded and they were able to accommodate that. Working with The Catering Place was definitely one of the most pleasurable experiences of our wedding. From the planning to the day of the wedding, their entire team was flexible, responsive, and professional. During our tasting and planning sessions, they accommodated all of our wishes and made all the changes we requested. On the day of the wedding, their staff was professional and efficient in setting up for the reception. Everything was clean and presented beautifully. The servers and bartenders were remarkably polite.

But let’s talk about the food. Everything was delicious! Some highlights included the pimento BLT biscuits at cocktail hour, the brisket, the potato medley, and the charred broccolini. Those are just the things we remember directly. Even the salads got rave reviews! The Catering Place also accommodated our vegetarian guests with delicious meals. They even provided a hot beverage bar to accompany our desserts, and this was a big hit with all the guests. Lastly, we can’t speak to the individual costs of their service, but we can tell you that we researched the costs and attended tastings for many caterers in Hampton Roads. The Catering Place definitely provided the best value. We cannot recommend them highly enough if you are getting married (or having any sort of a party that needs great food) in the Hampton Roads area.

4.5 stars! The Catering Place was fantastic, had an excellent selection and the food was delicious. The only complaint we had was that the pork tenderloin was dry in comparison to when we went for the initial tasting and had less apple chutney. That could have been because of transit though. Overall they were friendly and the service at our reception was exceptional. Kudos to their bartender for being able to keep up!

The peace of mind we felt in knowing that Jnel, Corey, and The Catering Place team were handling all of the details for our wedding was priceless! Jnel and Corey are very organized, responsive, and a joy to work with. They communicated with us for every detail of our special day.
