We had our wedding venue here and it was amazing! It is a beautiful place and the owners are very accommodating! On our wedding day it rained but Kathy and Bill were amazing and helped out as much as they could with all of the last minute changes! The property has a barn, pond, cabin, pool with covered pool house/dance floor and the house is beautiful! Everything is made with cedar and has tons of history. I highly recommend this venue and have already had a friend have their wedding there last month, which they were also extremely happy with. Thank you to Kathy and Bill for such an awesome memory!!

I stayed in the Scents of Cedar cabin for three months upon PCSing to Fort Lee until I could get settled permanently. The cabin was very cozy, quiet, and a great location to just relax. There was plenty of room for myself, my wife, and daughter when they came to visit. Quick and easy access to the interstate for commuting. Bill and Kathy are wonderful, welcoming, and extremely generous people that make you feel like family. Being an avid traveler myself, made for great conversations with them about their worldly travels. Great place, great stay, great people!

My wife and I stayed at Scents of Cedar to get away for a few days. We booked the romance package and it was absolutely amazing! Everything was done with a spirit of excellence. We were able to stay in the log cabin near the lake. The cabin was comfortable, very clean, and private. My wife, who is an executive chef, was very impressed with the delicious food we had for breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the quiet and tranquil property, the hospitality of Kathy and Bill. They intuitively knew everything we needed, even down to the type of bait we used to catch a fish out of the lake. We did nothing but relax. Scents of Cedar even booked us for a couples massage, as part of the romance package. The couples massage was wonderful and much needed.||This was the perfect getaway for us. Thank you Kathy and Bill. You will definatley see us again.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first B&B and appreciated the wonderful hospitality of the hosts! We thought that we had made a reservation for 2 nights in their cabin, but accidentally made it for one. Kathy and Bill were so wonderful and checked their calendar before welcoming us to stay another night. The breakfast and coffee was excellent. Always nice to sit on a porch on a rocking chair on a cool spring morning. Wonderful and clean accommodations! We would absolutely recommend Scents of Cedar and look forward to our next stay

I stayed in the cabin at Scents of Cedar this summer while I was attending a course at Ft. Lee. Bill and Kathy are wonderful hosts and made me feel right at home! The property is absolutely beautiful and staying in the cabin was the perfect piece of solitude that I needed while facing a hefty amount of coursework at Ft. Lee. Also, the main lodge is breathtaking. ||I loved getting to chat in the evenings with both Bill and Kathy. Bill has some incredible stories from his career in the service and Kathy is the definition of southern hospitality. You absolutely cannot go wrong booking a stay here if you are looking for a charming & peaceful place with wonderful owners.

This place was beautiful and perfect for my country Christmas wedding. The owners were so nice friendly and helpful. There were quite a few bumps in the Roda but the venue wasn't one of them. We even stayed in the cabin out back and I thought it was the cutest little cabin and this time of year I was so worried because I have to have my temperatures just right so I can sleep but it had a heater and ac so I stayed pretty comfortable. My husband and my whole new family loved the place as well it's just so gorgeous!!! Kathy catered are rehersal dinner and made me and my husband breakfast the next morning and it was just perfect!

My granddaughter was planning her wedding and realized very late that she needed help. She came to her mother and me only two months before her date for help. She wanted a rustic, outdoor wedding with hay bales and everything that goes with that. She wanted to invite 100 people. I thought about Scents of Cedar. I had been to this Bed and Breakfast before for parties and meetings but never for a wedding. I knew how beautiful it was and how it fit her plans for a rustic wedding. Kathy and Bill Parsley were wonderful. The date was open and they started working with us immediately. Kathy worked with us to rent the equipment we would need and even went with us to the rental company and helped us select the best colors for our linens. She had a table set up. We took in some of our table decorations and as we talked about a color, she changed the table clothes and runners until we were happy with our color scheme. What a blessing. We had an outdoor wedding with a reception in the barn for 100 people. She was there every step of the way. If there was something we needed either she had it or she knew where we could get it. If it had not been for this kind of help, I'm not sure we would have made the date. The beautiful log cabin was such a wonderful place for the bridesmaids to gather before the wedding with the bride and get dressed and take pictures. The groomsmen were on the lower floor with the pool table which helped calm their nerves. I had thought that I would provide some of the food while pictures were being taken, but I was so busy I could not work it in. Scents of Cedar provided the food and it was all in step with the rustic theme of the wedding. What a relief. The wedding was held in front of the fountain in the pond with a white arbor and flowers of the season. It was gorgeous. Another granddaughter sang "From this Moment On"while the bride came down the steps from the B&B and made her way to the pond. It was a fairy tale wedding for her. We heard so many great comments about how beautiful the wedding was and my granddaughter could not have been happier.

Bill & Kathy are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food was delicious and the cabin by the pond is the best place to take a breather on the porch with a cup of coffee overlooking the pond and listening to the relaxing sounds of nature. We decided to make this a yearly weekend retreat.
