The line to get in may be there when you arrive, but it's worth the wait!

The famous lockeford meat and sausage shop located on highway 88 in Lockeford, CA.
Usually when we come here to buy homemade sausage and jerky the line is out the door and around the corner. People travel from all over California just to buy their meats. Many bring igloo coolers to store their goods and keep cold till they get home.
The homemade sausage is off the hook.
Met people from all over California, Bakersfield, Ventura, San Francisco, Redding and Ojai. Many different flavors. Apple sausage, Portuguese linguica, kielbasa smoked polish sausage, garlic sausage, smoked Dakota bratwurst, etc

Have been making the 1.2hr drive here for almost 10 years. Hands down the best sausage in NorCal. Especially like when we get close to Christmas and the holiday sausages are available. Hard to call out a favorite type of sausage since they are all excellent, but my must haves are the Jalapeño, potato, Bavarian, fresh Dakota and bangers. You can't go wrong with any of the options, especially blueberry and cranberry over the holidays. Be prepared for a long line on the weekends

I drove past this place for two years before finally catching a short enough line to give it a try. Now, I stop almost every time I pass by! I always have to call my wife and ask, "Do we have any room in the freezer?"

Oddly enough, part of the fun of going to Lockeford is waiting in line and talking with everyone about their favorite sausages and how long they've been coming. We love the Dakota's, Hawaiian Luau, Polish, and the Linguica is amazing. The Okie Breakfast Links are also a must-try!

Don't be intimidated by the line—it moves quickly, and it’s actually a great opportunity to chat with other customers who will give you great advice on what to buy. The variety is overwhelming, so be ready to walk out with 3-5 pounds of top-notch sausage! Truly a hidden gem!

The staff is always so nice and helpful. There's usually a line but it goes fast. They have a big selection of sausages they also have marinated tri-tip. My favorite is the street fair to smoke Dakota and we also get the Hawaiian. This is a must for BBQ days. Great job you guys

The sausage are delicious, they are fast at getting your order, so fast that my order is always wrong. How ever I do go there twice a year to stock up and EVERTIME they screw up my order. I get home and something is missing or wrong. The receipt has no proof of what I got, just a total. I am not getting what I am paying for and have no proof.

Very popular sausage shop. People come from miles away to purchase. Be prepared to wait in line outside. They only have room for six people in the shop at a time.

This is a friend’s recommendation so we bought one of each to try all the flavours. The average quality is pretty good but most of the sausages are on the salty side. Our favourite is the Spicy Luau and the Fresh Cajun.
