My husband was researching kayaks online and watched many videos and eventually settled on the Eddyline brand. We drove 4 hours to The Boathouse/Headwaters Kayak Shop on Lodi Lake so we could try out various models. What a treat to be able to take out multiple boats and make sure we found the right fit for each of us. In addition to having beautiful new boats you can also purchase a demo for a substantial discount.

My husband was working with Abba, the owner, to set up our appointment and boats to try. She is absolutely delightful and knowledgable on all the models. She gave us a very fair deal as we purchased two boats, two paddles, and life vests.

Josh was working the day we came up and got us all set. He was very professional, patient and just a joy to work with. He taught how to do a "dock entry" to the boats, helped us load up for the trip home and gave us tips for safe and easy tie down on the truck.

We went on a Moonlight paddle with a group the evening we bought the boats and WOW,..what a great experience. We were not the only first timers and everyone had a great time.

If you are considering buying a kayak but don't know where to start, I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Abba and setting up an appointment. It was defiantly worth the drive up. The lake is beautiful and a great place for all levels of kayakers.

If you want a fun day out in nature, you can't go wrong setting up an appointment to rent a kayak/paddle board at The Boathouse on Lodi Lake. It is very affordable and they have a variety of kayaks and paddle boards to choose from.

Beautiful and scenic paddling. What a natural gift in the middle of Lodi. Friendly staff and you can choose between an inflatable or hard shell paddle board. Also kayaks are offered. Not expensive and convenient- I didn’t reserve in advance. If you have an hour or 2 to explore Lodi lake give this place a try

My first time in a Kayak, and I couldn't have found a more knowledgeable and personable instructor... within minutes I was relaxed and applying basic movements to control the kayak.. the entire session was a dream fullfilled.

Now I forgot his name but what a nice guy. Ha helped me in and out of kayak. I could not have had that experience without his help. May not again because of my limitations. It was so fun. I loved it. Price was reasonable as heck. Hey you know if u put a metal bar over the top, a person could lower themselves in kayak and pull themselves up after. Kinda like in a hospital bed. It could be on a pole that you lower it and raise it as needed and maybe swing out of the way when not needed. Anyway something like that and I could go again and it would save the workers back. I always enjoy going to the Lodi Boathouse for rental kayaks! As much as I did wish I could save a few dollars on the cheaper kayak, it was great getting out on the water and the hospitality of the employees made it all the more worth it! I managed to squeeze in just over 5 miles in just over an hour.

Wonderful sunset paddle on the Mokelumne River! The guides were very helpful and there Was lots of local wildlife. We saw baby deer, fox, and lots of birds! Highly recommend!
