Pros: The cabin was great for what I needed. A place for my wife and son to stay warm and cozy, so I could go snowboard for a couple hours. When I got back after his nap, we could go explore and play in the snow. 10/10 experience for my little guy.

Cons: very minimal direction. When we left, there was no place to drop off the key, and everything was closed. The only way to get information without waiting in line at the bar was to go to the website - you have to ask for the wifi password to get to the website.

It would be nice if each building had its hours listed somewhere. Also a menu for the restaurant would be huge too and not that difficult Google says they serve breakfast, and a bunch of items they don't. The restaurant opens at 4pm, and it's just steak - no pizza etc. 1/10 experience.

Everything is under construction, so I'm sure they'll improve with time.

We stayed here late last snow season and we're definitely coming back this year! Great location near China peak, food was great at the lodge and everyone we dealt with was just so pleasant to deal with. Was all around a fantastic experience and we're definitely coming back this year!

We had a great time at the Lakeshore resort. We had 2 cabins and loved the fact they had been renovated since our last visit. It was so relaxing and quiet. We had one minor issue with the smoke detector going off all the time but once we reported it, it was taken care of. We also asked for leaded coffee for our room instead of the decaf they had and they immediately came and brought it to me. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We even saw a family of deer right across the street from us and then they walked through our camp. What majestic animals. We will definitely plan on coming back.

After taking the long, windy, narrow potholed road through the Creek fire burn zone (would've been easier traveling towards China Peak side), we found our welcoming cabin tucked in among the RVs above the resort restaurant. We were checked in by the bartender at its popular saloon and restaurant. Our log cabin was cute and cozy, with two queen beds, including one in the loft we didn’t use. The cabin came equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker and fan, and two chairs to sit on the small deck overlooking the RVs. (The lake is about a 200-yard walk from the cabins.)|The restaurant also had a log cabin décor with painted faux-stain glass windows. Its dinner menu had nice options for steak and chicken with upscale pricing -- $85 for dinner for two – two entrees, one dessert, no drinks – not counting trip. Meals were prepared out of a food truck in the back. All the staff were charming and professional.

We absolutely loved our stay here. 10/10 from us. The rooms are very clean and homey. The property manager Linda was so amazing, she helped us throughout the entire stay and ensured that we had the best possible experience. The saloon and food was amazing as well. Just a few minutes drive from China peak makes this a fantastic option for lodging during the cold months. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Stayed in one of the small (3 person) ‘A’ cabins in Feb to ski at China Peak. We arrived late and didn’t know what to expect based on reviews. The host was tending bar in the busy saloon. She was lovely. The cabin was renovated and clean. Quite sweet for a rustic ski cabin. We would stay again. A week after we got home, we got an unexpected package from the host - she sent a book we had completely forgotten about.

My friends and I stayed here after a day of snowboarding at China Peak and it was New Year’s Eve. It was overall an amazing experience. The owner was very sweet and welcoming. The cabin we stayed in was very clean, tidy, and warm when we got there. We hung out at the Saloon for New Year’s Eve night and had a wonderful time. The owners are very involved in this property and are determined in turning it around and it was noticeable!! This was a 10/10 stay. I would definitely book here in the future.

We stayed here of Labor Day weekend and were thrilled to get up in the Mountains and have such a great time. We were tent camping, but this spot is also ideal for RVs. It's great for families. The bathrooms were clean, showers were super hot, and the location can't be beat.

Lev, the owner, is a really nice person.

We can't wait to be back! Oh, another perk -- there's a really fun, funky bar at the base of the site so it's easy to grab a cocktail and some food after a day spent adventuring on the lake. Also, horse back riding is about half a mile down the road.

We had an awesome time!
