We’ve stayed multiple times over the years and have noticed an improvement in all things Paradise Isle this past year. Grounds, maintenance, cleanliness, staffing. |This place is unique in that some units are privately owned, so much more updated as those owners invest solely in their property. Other units are part of a time share program, so many owners for each unit. That’s why some of the pictures we saw online didn’t match what we walked into. I will also say, many of the interior pictures are completely outdated in those time share units. Some of the pictures floating out there look original to the complex… like 80s. I can assure you the units we’ve been in do not look like that! They’ve got a website now that makes it easier for my family to see what’s available and rent it without having to call the office (they have limited hours). paradiseisleresort.com. It has updated pictures and pricing, so we know exactly what we’re renting. The units with private owners have their own sites I think. They are at least on Vrbo I know because I’ve rented there before. Oh-some units are dog friendly while others are not. I know for sure the time share units are Not. Glad I confirmed this before we hit the road with our pup!

We booked last minute for 4 people. This is a great location with beach access directly across the street. It was quiet and is pet friendly. We did have an issue as the unit did not have a washer/dryer and there is conflicting information on different sites. We found out some units do have a washer/dryer, but not all. There is laundry on site but it is a coin laundry. I would bring towels or bring coins, we only had 5 towels. We did contact the office and Ms Vivian, with the management company, housekeeping did bring towels which was a great help. Ms Vivian was wonderful to work with. The owners of the unit were notified by Ms Vivian of the miscommunication and came to the unit to apologize, brought coins for the laundry. The pool was very nice and perfect to relax in after a day at the beach. Overall it's a quaint place to stay and would recommend staying here.

This is an older property. It was VERY clean. It's location was perfect for beach access. You literally walk across the street. The neighborhood seemed totally safe. Very good restaurants were a few minutes a way.

The room was very cute, lots of beach decor. It’s in a great location. Not on the beach, but just across the street, there’s no beach view but our room had a nice pool view. This is a pet friendly hotel but unfortunately it is illegal to take pets to the beach, unless you want to pay a $500 fine. And pets can’t go in the pool, which is semi understandable, but also like why? The room was clean to the eye, but once you get to the bathroom there’s mold all in the shower. It is very nice looking but the glass shower cover definitely seemed like it was going to break every time you opened it. Our room came w ONE roll of toilet paper for a 5day trip with two adults…. Also, does anyone work on site There was a used condom with its wrapper on the ground in the parking area the entire time we were there. OHH! And if you’re on your honeymoon, just no. The beds sounded like they were gonna give out every time you moved. The rooms were soo quiet at night, you could hear everything outside, very frustrating to sleep to. Overall, $200 a night for location. That’s really all it is. Might as well spend 200 a night on the water, please don’t bring your dogs they will not have access to a beach, they can’t get in the water at the room, nor in public. Gulf Shores is great though. Our neighbors were super friendly, a lot of people brought dogs like us thinking they could go to the beach, it would be nice if y’all would put on your website that the dogs can’t actually go to the beach. Also, getting into our room was a pain! We called an hour before we arrived to make sure all our ducks were in a row, check in was at 4 but we called at 12, we arrived at 1:30, called and they said our room wasn’t ready but they’d send us the code to get in once our inspector okayed it, well we were there outside in the heat (after being kicked off the beach bc the dogs) [it was an excessive heat warning that day] for 3 hours waiting. We called them around 3/4 times and they told us the same thing every time. 3:30 rolls around and they send us the room code, so we go to use it and it’s not working. Called again and they said it won’t work until 4. Like why did y’all tell us multiple times that we could get in our room early when we get our code if when we get our code we can’t go in?! Just made no sense. I don’t know, I have very mixed feelings about this place, good spot, but not worth the price.

It is decorated beautifully, and it's cozy. However, it is need of renovations. Please keep reading for the good stuff though! The wallpaper is peeling and bubbling, and there is a nail sticking up on the deck. It desperately needs a new sofa and chair and for the front door to be painted. Also, the ice maker really needs to be fixed. I do realize it's a pet friendly rental, but a few simple repairs could turn it from good to great! Now that I've said those things, let me tell you the great things about this place! It's in an awesome location across the street from a public beach access. It's walking distance to shops and restaurants. It has a pool AND a hot tub! Whoever decorated this condo did a fabulous job! So cute, beachy and welcoming! Bring your own beach chairs and beach towels. Please remember, this is a rental, not a hotel. They do provide linens, bath towels and one day supply of toilet paper, paper towels and dishwasher detergent, but you will have to bring or buy your own after that. This is customary when renting a place. The coozies and cups waiting for us upon entry was a nice touch. The management was responsive.

Paradise Isle Resort is directly across from the beach access. Several restaurants and souvenir shops were within walking distance. The 1 bedroom was just perfect for the two of us. It was clean and had everything we needed. We had very little interaction with the office since we checked in very close to closing time and checked out before the office opened. There are some stairs up to the rooms, a hot tub, and a very nice pool area. All- in- all it was a perfect little getaway from the freezing weather.

The staff is great. Very kind and friendly. I was in unit 10 which faces the street/beach. The unit was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay. These are camp like units where the building is on stilts so be aware you have to climb stairs to get to your unit. I left my beach stuff in my car daily as to not have to bring it up and down
