Excellent place to stay with a fantastic staff.
It's a very remote location, but it's beautiful.
Breakfast was excellent, and there are many great restaurants in Livermore.
Anytime I need to stay in the area, i will use Purple Orchid.
Pool was too cold as it was early in the season, but the hottub was awesome.
Again, the staff made it a great stay!

We selected the hotel as it was a half way point for us. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful. The massage was great! The pool and hot tubs were not clean. There was actually plastic in the hot tub (I could understand leaves, due to the wind) and I saw a glass floating in the pool. Also the hot tub was supposed to be heated until 10pm, it went off at 9 - probably due to recent time change, however they also said we could text them anytime. I sent a text and no one ever responded. The happy hour was very nice, and the breakfast was awesome! Staff very friendly. We will definitely consider going back.

Beautiful destination, service was good. Front desk was happy and helpful. The spa desk receptionist not so much. Service was nice although my massage therapist wore gloves? They no longer offer access to the hot tub unless you purchase a day pass.

I booked a massage with hot stones, after receiving a gift card. I arrived 20 minutes early as advised on the website. I waited in an uncomfortably cold room for approximately 20 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment time.
The massage with Audriana was excellent. (I would give her 5 stars) However, I was informed after that because things were really hectic, I could not receive the hot stone treatment that I had booked. I was very disappointed.
I was promised I would receive a complimentary hot stone treatment on my NEXT visit. While this was considerate it did not make up for the long wait and the unexplained inability to have the stones during my massage.
Additionally, no one showed me where/how I could purchase a drink or food (as indicated on website)
Did not meet my expectations.

Valentine’s Day 2004, my hon asked me to marry him. I got on my pc & The Purple Orchid magically appeared! There’s no way our wedding could have been any better! We’ve been back several times & loved it. We spent our 20th anniversary there. The new
Owners are a kindhearted young couple.
I’ve been to lots of different kinds of parties, business meeting & weddings. You can’t find anything better than The Purple Orchid!

We had an appointment set after 3 months of trying to get in and called ahead of time that we were running a bit late due to issues with baby and they were horrible! They had no empathy at all and that women Patrice is the worst, she needs some classes on customer service and customer retention because she was not helpful at all. We were ok in getting less time for our appt since we are respectful to the massage therapists time but she said absolutely not. Please do yourself a favor, do NOT waste your time& money, they are not great people to deal with specially Patrice.

The pool was a dream to hang at and the surrounding area is a beautiful backdrop. I had an amazing massage with Katie!! Highly recommend for a day away for peace and relaxation!!. Will be back.

This review is of the spa only- we did not stay at the hotel or eat there. This is a beautiful setting for a wedding, or an event but not a great spa to go with a group of ladies to the spa. The spa did not have the amenities that most spa's have, not enough space to enjoy the relaxation time in between treatments and if it was raining, you would really be limited because the hot tub/pool is out side and not covered- so you wouldnt use in the rain. If you are going with 2-3 several ladies, I would go somewhere else. We had made reservations 90 days in advance to have 3 treatments at the same time. Then they called us 2 weeks before and said that was not possible. So we had to stagger our treatments- so we could not hot tub together. This really spoiled our experience of doing this to celebrate a birthday. The massages we got left us more sore than before my treatment so we were not happy with the quality of the massage either. In short, we will not be back.
