Hidden Gem in Linden: Sammy’s at Orlando’s

Who would have thought that a small-town grocery store with a Chevron station would house such a charming little bar? Sammy’s, nestled inside Orlando’s in Linden, California (yes, the hometown of Yankees’ star Aaron Judge), offers a surprisingly delightful experience.

At first, it feels a bit odd walking into a grocery store to meet friends for drinks, but once you get past that, you realize it’s actually a pretty cool spot. The vibe inside Sammy’s is comfortable and inviting, almost like any other bar or restaurant with a well-stocked bar. The friendly staff really know their craft—they were able to make every drink our group requested without a hitch.

The atmosphere was relaxed, and it was easy to forget that just a few steps away were grocery aisles. The place was clean and well-maintained, reflecting a level of care that’s always appreciated. It was a great spot to unwind, catch up with friends, and enjoy good drinks.

Last call did come at 10:00 pm, which felt a bit early but then again, it is inside a grocery store. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening, and I’d definitely go back the next time I’m in Linden. If you’re ever in town, don’t overlook Sammy’s—it’s an unexpected yet pleasant surprise.

Gas prices are very high here! Love the store. They have everything and very clean and helpful. But the gas prices are crazy!

Amazingly open 24 hours and is well stocked. Has restrooms, fruit, veggies, snacks, liquor, and an entire bar.

I want to love Orlando's. The employees are great. The owner is a very nice gentleman. It's super clean. The food court is nice, and the food is very, very good.

You could come here, wash your car, eat, shop, and the environment is pleasant.

I can't get past the amount of my hard earned blood, sweat,and tears (money) they charge for gas. I have to imagine that people just keep driving when they see the sticker shock of gas. I would, in fact when I fail to get gas before I come to work in linden, at the end of the day I would rather run out of gas and call AAA to come give me gas, than to go to Orlando's and trade my life saving for gas. Little dramatic but you get my point.

I grew up in a gas truck as my dad was Petroleum truck driver for 45 years. It can not be a logistics issue, you can drive to the next town and save money.

It would be 6 stars if there were such a thing, if this wasn't present.

I’ve been here a lot and just realized I have not left a review.

The fries might be the best from here to Stockton. They remind me of Patter’s back in the day. I’ve had everything from a salad to burgers. You can’t go wrong with any of the food. The chicken wraps are good too.

With that being said the price is on the high side but in my opinion it’s worth it. Plus, the staff are friendly and very helpful.

The prices here are beyond insane. Literally everything is marked up to levels that I've never seen before. They are completely ripping off locals that have no other choice I'm not only their gas prices but everything inside the store as well.

It was staggering enough for me to literally walk out without buying anything and leave a review.
