We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of February and really enjoyed the convenience of the location and the reasonable price. The local shuttle stop for the ski lifts is right by the entrance of the complex, near CVS. We stayed in one of the studio units on the 3rd floor of the main building and it was perfect for 2. The hot tub was a nice treat at the end of a good ski day. The only annoying part was having to enter a 10 digit long code on the door lock. 4 or 6 digits would be much easier to remember for the stay! We'll definitely come back in the summer to check out the beach vibe!

Absolutely beautiful location. Kids had a blast sledding from our deck to the beach and they made it to the water! Walking on the pier was so peaceful. Jacuzzi was well maintained. No one around so really felt like an amazing vacation

Our unit, 635 was a bit pricey but worth the view as we were right on Lake Tahoe. If Wildlife (bears) make you nervous, this isn't the place. A very large bear was sleeping under the porch of the unit right next door to us. (See pics) We thought it was cool but also made us a little nervous. I warned an unsuspecting family that had small children as they walked to their car....directly adjacent to where the bear was sleeping. The view of the lake and mountain are spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The staff here were so friendly at the front desk. We had the pleasure of staying there this last weekend and while my kids and I played in the snow, I lost my phone! As we were searching through thr fresh snow a security guard helped us look. With no luck we went back to the room but he kept looking and found my phone! I wish I got his name thank you to the night security guard

Affordable but very good resort. Has all you need and is close to the lake. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are pretty good and well kept. Balconies could use new furniture and some refurbishing

Went for a snowboarding trip. Had a great time. Super close to heavenly. Conveniently located near groceries, restaurants, and other things in South Lake Tahoe. Our unit was updated and comfortable. Hot tub & gym were good. Would definitely revisit.

Challenges: The service is utterly poor. Water was out for the entire day since morning. Worse part was that it was neither communicated earlier nor did they share the correct timeframe. We had kids and it turned out to be quite challenging without water.

There are quite good number of rooms to accommodate 10+ people easily but they have only 2 restrooms.

Now the good part is the location of property and private beaches. If you get lucky you may get a beach facing villa which will be a cherry on top. Otherwise, you still get to enjoy private beaches. Plenty of parking is there in the premises so that’s not an issue. Just ensure to return the parking tags, otherwise they levy fine.

During our stay at Lakeland Village in South Lake Tahoe in December 2024, we had a generally positive experience. However, our checkout process was marred by an unfortunate encounter with the Front Desk Staff.
I requested empty hot cups for hot water, as the weather was quite cold. Unfortunately, the staff informed me that they could not provide cups because our booking was made through a different agency. Despite my assurance that I would not be consuming coffee, the staff remained unyielding in their refusal.
What struck me as particularly perplexing was their willingness to provide a plastic cup for cold water, yet not for something as benign as hot water.
I am sharing this review to highlight the inconsistent service and perceived double standards exhibited by the Vacasa staff.
