We have found a new yearly place to visit. Clean, lots of wildlife and close to water. Small enough to let our granddaughter have some freedom, but big enough for our fifth wheel. Wifi works fairly well, but youโ€™re camping, you donโ€™t need internet.

This place is very quiet and peaceful, has plenty of green grass and friendly people who were a big help when we pulled in. Trees are well maintained for good clearance , but also nice shade. Management was very helpful in getting us tucked in to our spot. I would recommend checking it out if ever in the area.

This is a very quiet and peaceful RV park but this is still before Memorial Day. We are resting up before we head back east over the northwest Rockies. Nice lush and green park. Ryan and his staff are working grooming the grounds. I guess it is under his new ownership just recently. The owner has many projects and ideas going on. It has year round residents who are friendly and accommodating. We have been here going on a month. There is so much to explore from this RV park.
You are centrally located in Lewiston, CA. Day rides to the Pacific shorelines with Ferndale and the Redwood Forests to the west. You are in the middle of the vast Trinity-Shasta National Forests with rivers with all their creek tributaries, lakes and awesome endless dirt roads used for logging and fire roads. That blanket the whole area. Just be aware high clearance and 4ร—4 vehicles are a must. Then to the west is Sacramento River Valley and the Sierra Nevadas with Lassen Volcanic National Park. To the north Trinity lake and endless creeks and trails into the Trinity Alps. To the south Rt. 3 and Rt.36 with their great mountains and rivers and a nice Redwood forest on 36 west before Rt.101.
We will be coming back to discover more!!!
This place is a hidden gem. Also the Smokehouse and Lewiston Bar and Grill are worth an honorable mention for a quick bite.

We arrived to learn that the water filtration system for the potable water serving the park had failed several days earlier. It would have been nice to have been contacted before driving 3 hours to this remote RV park and given the option of cancelling our stay. We had to track down the owner/camp host to check-in, even though the office โ€œopenโ€ sign was illuminated. Ringing the video doorbell, as instructed on a sign, did not raise anyone. The owner advised us of the water problem and offered us a gallon jug of bottled water. We went to our site since we were in a remote part of CA with few options. The site was nice enough but, it was very difficult to get the rig level front-to-back because of site sloped somewhat steeply down front to back. The 30A receptacle was worn out. We did not connect to the park water system while we discussed our options. We used the park WiFi to contact the only other nearby park and were able to secure a reservation there (it was a pretty poor park). I went into the menโ€™s restroom/shower room and found feces on the floor near a toilet that was being repaired. The floor was wet and it stunk in there. We broke camp and headed to the other nearby park. The owner agreed to refund our 2-night campsite fee.

ADDENDUM to my review of 5/5. After being here from May 7 to June 7...there definitely is a change with the new owner. I have been here every year for over 24 years as well as our RV club has been here as a group for an annual event every year. I love this park, location, the residents keep it tidy are friendly and work on keeping the park neat. I have witnessed rv'ers been talked to with scorn and some told never to come back when they question the owner. The rules/prices seem to be inconsistent. We as a group and I have had problems just getting straight answers about reservations most made a year ago. I've given him the benefit of doubt as he can be very nice & The inconsistency when questioned he 's very rude, even caustic tongued. One in our group was told not to ever come back over questioning an added price when went to check out. He does not like to be questioned. This is bitter sweet as our RV group has been coming every year for 23+ yrs. Lovely relaxed, old park that regulars and I have stayed in for 1-3 months a year. I Know a few of the yearly regulars & the residents that are terrific, keep their own space tidy. They pay his winter bills...yet he is doing what he can to move them out so he can have "a million $$ resort".||After years of being there, I will NOT be returning nor as Host of our group,||His Webpage also says Top of the Line amenities? New Trailer rentals? Deluxe back ins? NOTHING has been upgraded ie; electrical, sewer, and no improvements other than lamp posts county required & upgraded deck. I overpaid by a little, but no answer to my emails. Good Luck to you Ryan.||5/5 I Love this place. Accommodating, very friendly, most beautiful place on the Trinity River. Well kept and very clean . Been coming here for 20 years...LOTS to see and do or do nothing.come visit

We were looking for.a place to camp near Redding, our home town. This campground is about 30 mins from Redding. It was an easy tow on rural but well maintained roads all the way to the campground. Easy tow for my 25.5 foot travel trailer and 2019 Chevy taho .||The store is well supplied with camping and fishing needs. The park has lots of trees for shade and the spaces are wide. Wider than any other places we have stayed . The spots are grassed, all clean and well maintained. Everyone there was very nice and will happily give you fishing advice, if you ask. ||Our dogs loved the area down below, we would take them off leash and let them do dog-things.||Just around the corner from the campground ( walking distance) is access to the river. The whole family enjoyed dipping in when itโ€™s warm outside||We will be back
