Had high hopes for this location after seeing review. Our first visit and it looked chaotic in there with many people complaining about wait time. Took over 30 min before we got our food. No refill offered
Had to ask multiple times for napkins. When food came out couldn't even get ketchup for my fries. The location looks really nice. Maybe we went on a busy night.

Like a fool after never getting a decent steak I ordered one tonight. I told the waitress they alway over cook the steaks. Make it rare . Of course it comes out medium well and she says I know that’s cooked more than you wanted it. That’s right. Why did you bring it. It was tough as shoe leather and I didn’t eat half of it. Then the waitresses are sitting at the next table making up silver ware and the one girl is putting the knife on the napkin and grabbing 2 forks by the times just putting her grubby hands all over the knife people are about to eat with. How can this dump stay in business with diamond jims across the street that actually knows how to cook a steak and its tender amazing flavor and juicy and you can actually chew it. Ask for a steak cooked rare because I wanted it medium rare and it come well done. It’s unbelievable that steakhouse is in their name and they can’t cook a steak the way it’s ordered and they didn’t miss it by 1 but by 4 temperatures. I’m just go to diamond Jim’s from now on. It never happens there or if it isn’t perfect it’s at least edible !

My sister n law and her husband drove here from Tuscaloosa for his birthday. Had to wait almost 2 hours for their food. When it came steak was awful found out they ran out of steaks and had to defrost them before cooking them. Manager / owner was very rude and told my sister n law she could leave his restaurant when she mentioned it to him! Waitress was very sweet. Manager / owner wasn’t apologetic at all! They will never go back.

This is a revision to my review from 3yrs ago: Austin's has been back for a couple of years and is better than before!! The food is absolutely delicious and everything is very reasonably priced! When we're in Livingston visiting with family we usually try to eat supper here. The service is great and even placing a to go order on the phone is easy and the food is just like eating it in the restaurant! If you're looking for some great food, good prices and good atmosphere then swing on by Austin's Q&A! FYI that ribeye steak sandwich is one of the best kept secrets in Sumter Co!
