This hotel gets it. They take care of providing exactly what you need.

The $10 parking fee can seem upsetting at first but after hotel hopping all around the area, it was easy to learn how reasonable this is. Other hotels can charge $50-$75 for secure parking and in and out privileges.

Love the noon check out.

My lady and I checked in for the weekend, the room smelled like a casino in Vegas but they have a “No smoking” policy. The view we had was a construction building just terrible. They didn’t clean the rooms good. There was hair all in our towels that were supposed to be “clean”. The bed had bed bugs. When we asked to speak to the manager he acted like he didn’t care! Do not waste your time with this hotel. There is the Hampton Inn, Comfort suites and holiday inn all located in the same complex as the Candlewood. Had we known this we would’ve stayed at one of those and not here! Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel all together! 0/10 do NOT recommend! Blessings.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Candlewood Suites LAX Hawthorne. My experience was exceptional, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfortable and convenient accommodations near Los Angeles International Airport.

The hotel's location is another significant advantage. Situated just a few miles from LAX, it offers easy access to the airport, which is ideal for travelers with early flights or layovers. Despite its proximity to the airport, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere, ensuring a restful stay.

What truly sets Candlewood Suites LAX Hawthorne apart is the exceptional service provided by the staff. In particular, Daniel, the front desk manager, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His professionalism, attentiveness, and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression and contributed significantly to the positive experience.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to SoFi Stadium. After an 8-hour drive from Northern California, we called to check on early check-in availability, as we had originally requested when making our reservation. Upon arrival, the front door was locked, but thankfully, there was a house phone. After ringing for almost a minute, two employees arrived—the male employee helped us check in, while the female employee assisted with a door issue. The receptionist informed us that only a first-floor room was available at the time and kindly allowed us to preview it before deciding.

The room was directly across from the housekeeping laundry room, which led to significant hallway noise. Throughout the day and night, we could hear washers and dryers running, conversations, squeaky cart wheels, and slamming doors. With thin walls and a door lacking soundproofing, these noises were constant, along with occasional barking from other guests’ dogs, as the hotel is pet-friendly. The washers and dryers stopped running around 12 a.m., but we could still hear conversations, doors slamming, and the high-pitched squeak of wheels rolling throughout the night.

While the receptionists were polite, they could have checked our special requests (such as extra pillows) upon arrival and coordinated with housekeeping to have them delivered. We appreciated the offer of late check-out as part of a membership perk, though it wasn’t practical for us given our long drive home; sleeping in was not realistic as the noise was even more severe since 6am.

Room Condition:
The sofa covers were visibly dirty and needed cleaning. The mattress also felt either too old or too soft, as we both felt like we were being pulled into the center of the bed.

Positives:
The room included a full kitchen with utensils, bright lighting, a spacious bathroom, and friendly staff who were willing to help. The gated parking garage with secure access was a great feature, providing peace of mind.

Bathroom Amenities:
The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, lotion, and a wall-mounted hair dryer. Just bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, cotton buds, and earplugs, which would have been useful to know in advance.

Suggestions for Improvement:
1. Ensure that guest requests for specific room locations are considered when assigning rooms.
2. Review special requests upon check-in and coordinate with housekeeping as needed.
3. Consider adding soundproofing to walls and room doors.
4. Offer a discounted rate for rooms near high-traffic areas like housekeeping.
5. Ensure that furniture, especially sofa covers, is clean, and consider updating worn-out mattresses.
6. Oil cart wheels to reduce squeaky noises, especially at night.

Overall, we appreciated the helpful staff, full kitchen, bright lighting, spacious bathroom, and secure parking. However, a quieter room, cleaner furnishings, and a more comfortable mattress would have made our stay much more enjoyable. For those sensitive to noise, I’d recommend requesting a room away from the housekeeping area and office entrance.

My daughter and I needed a little me time. We decided to stay at the Candlewood Suites. We've stayed at the other properties and this by far is our Favorite. I loved the fact that I could cook in the room because at alot of Hotels you may not like the foods being served, so this was a major plus for us. The beds were very comfortable. The staff came quickly to provide anything we asked for. Loved our stay

Overall great stay. Had everything I needed. Pleasant and accommodating people. Maria at front desk was absolutely amazing. Only complaint is that I wasn't checked out and left for 10 minutes in the morning, and there was already housekeeping who put away the things that were out, like my charger. They should come after check-out time or check which guests have checked out. But they corrected that, no harm done. Overall I highly recommend this place, affordable and great accommodation and very nice staff.

Convenient to LAX, that’s the only plus. Could have been cleaner, my room was smoked in and they didn’t notate when I checked in. When I was checking out I asked the front desk staff which was different from the one who helped me check in if it had been noted that my room smelled like smoke and I had to buy candles to clear the smell? She said no it wasn’t noted. Stuff like that is how they keep peoples deposit and try to say well housekeeping discovered smoke after you checked in. The parking wasn’t convenient, its to the backside across the street and doesn’t feel safe at night.

Room was clean and good service. Beds are a bit uncomfortable so we kept tossing and turning all night. you get what you pay for/redeem and space is nice and large. The noise can be heard from the rooms into the halls though & vice versa.
