I only come here because it’s 5 minutes away from my house, but after my last 2 experiences, I won’t be back. The staff seems unhappy and rude, and they always seem to forget something on my order or bring it out late. It’s disappointing because the food is decent, but the service makes it not worth it.

My husband simply googled “organic salads near me”, and got Tender Greens as a top choice.

Our present day experience is in comparison to our first and second time dining experience a little under two years ago. Back then, the greens were actually a variety (arugula quality) and tender. Not so much now. Our salad consisted mostly of romaine lettuce “hearts and bitter cores”. Clearly, they use pre-bag purchased.👎🏽 Quite disappointing. I ordered a salmon salad, and my avocado wasn’t even sliced and placed on my salad, it was simply one quarter piece of avocado, it was on the bottom, mushy and brown. The salmon was stiff and dry. And as far as tomatoes, I got only a quarter part of a small one. This experience was an extreme disappointment and disgust. I would not recommend them for dine-in or carry out. Salads are a throw together and throw out. We will not be going back, nor referring. **If you garden, Grow Your Own Better! We do. #himesteadnow🌱

I have to say this place impressed me. I have eaten high dollar restaurants as well as hole in the walls 10 places around the world and my experience today was all five star. The food absolutely impressed me. The texture, taste, presentation, flavors was five star. Only two of us but we tried a little bit of everything from their green posole, the short ribs with mashed potato that was so tender. Arugula salad with shaved Parmesan, the macaroni and cheese, and a chicken pesto sandwich. We had two of their fruit drinks that was perfect it was not too sweet and it had beautiful flavor. There wasn't that many people so we sat right now and our service was excellent we got our food pretty quick. All the staff was friendly and the prices very fair for this beautiful tasting food. I was very hungry and wanted something on a healthy side so this place was the closet option. Was disappointed. Ordered the Pacific with frilled salmon. The salmon was decently made but on the salty and the rice was very mushy, the salad was only decent thing, the green drink felt watered down. Probably won't come again

Staff is so friendly! Food is fresh, delicious, perfectly seasoned. Feel good food. The app works great if you would like to skip the line!

I highly recommend the seasonal veggies & baby arugula as sides. The steak was pretty good too. Next time I’ll try the chicken.

Just try to call and place an order! Wait on hold. Get disconnected. Call back and get no answer. Then show up and ask what’s up with the phone ordering and get attitude. There’s a reason there a giant line out the door for Cava and a half empty restaurant at Tender Greens. And this is not my first bad experience at this particular Tender Greens. Another time I placed a phone order, and when I got to the restaurant they had no record of my order, and gave me the same snarky attitude. It’s a shame because I like the food. I’m getting Cava instead when I’m Mission Valley.

I had the grilled salmon salad. It tasted good. However, the lettuces were insufficiently washed, quite a bit of grit. The service at the front counter and in the dining room was excellent (would have been 5 stars), but was then undercut by the fact that the manager tried to tell me it was salt and pepper when I politely told him that the lettuce had sand in it. There were many seasoned parts of the dish, but the grit was only in the lettuce. Now that I’m thinking about it, the pieces of lettuce were also very large and unwieldy to eat.
