From the moment we stepped into the beautiful, beachy Mid-Century meets nature-inspired lobby area, and were greeted by the gracious and attentive front desk staff, my husband and I knew we were in for a rare treat. Our room, which featured a spacious living room area, with a well-stocked wood-burning fireplace, blew us away! The ultra comfortable king-sized bed (it somehow felt bigger than our King at home!), high quality linens and towels were a delight for the senses. I love that our windows looked out onto a peaceful woodland setting. Our bathroom was spacious with contemporary fixtures, excellent water pressure, and spa robes. A nutritious, lovingly prepared breakfast, with a tidy flask of coffee was delivered in a picnic basket to us with a gentle knock each morning- it tasted like no "hotel food" I've ever experienced: frittata with herbs and greens, rustic, authentic sourdough toast, seasonal fruit- all made with great care- made us so happy! We stayed two nights during a stormy weekend, where we went hiking, mushroom foraging, and sightseeing. Even exploring the grounds at SCP felt like a mini-adventure, they have Llamas (hi Larry, Curly, and Moe!) and an organic seasonal garden which our breakfast was sourced from. The recognition and kindness we received from each and every staff member we encountered made us feel welcome in a way I have never experienced at larger hotel chains. If we have one regret it's that we overbooked our weekend with activities and as such, didn't spend as much time in our room as we would have liked. We plan to book again this winter and just make a cozy, staying-in weekend of it by the fireplace. The overall feeling of this place gives: care, intention, warmth, and a sense peaceful retreat. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, a place to reunite with old friends, or even a team-building retreat, I highly recommend SCP Mendo Farm and Inn. It's close enough to the towns of Mendocino, Little River, and adjacent villages, all about a 5-10 minute drive from each other, that you can go take in the sites, and return to a peaceful, elevated atmosphere when you are ready to relax.

It rained the entirety of our stay in Mendocino, but our room at the Inn was perfectly cozy. We loved the trail from the back door to the beach. We enjoyed watching the llamas and the chickens roam about their spaces. One front desk attendant directed us where to go buy rain boots so we even went tide pooling. And after we were thoroughly soaked, the private fireplace in our room created the perfect wind down atmosphere to relax and read before our delicious dinner at the sister restaurant. Excellent stay and we highly recommend for couples.

I think this is the best place I have ever stayed on a vacation. I don't know how Mendocino SCP Inn and Farm is able to offer everything they do at the price, this place is just incredible. Some of the highlights for me were the ocean view from our room with a little balcony, getting to pet the llamas and feed the chickens, homemade breakfast delivered right to our door (the breakfast burrito! WOW!), and the three different hiking trails that start on or just off the property, including beach access by foot.

The staff was also incredibly kind and helpful, including helping us out by refunding us a credit for a stay we had to miss due to a sick pet, which was outside of their policy and they were not obligated to do. I was blown away by their level of care and attentiveness from the jump, what a great group of folks.

I am recommending this place to everyone I know, and I will be staying longer next time.

Fantastic little gem on the coast. Variety of buildings, we like to stay in the lodge building. Complimentary breakfast delivered to the room for everyone, eggs made from their own chickens. They have a small restaurant that has great, Neapolitan style pizza Free EV charging for guests. LOVE this place

We loved our stay. The staff at check-in were friendly and helped with rainy day activity and restaurant recommendations. The room was perfectly cozy with a fireplace (and no tv) and the grounds were beautiful. Highly recommend!

Stayed there for a couple nights before Christmas … what a great experience! Breakfasts were yummy, rooms were charming and the location beautiful. Staff were so cool, welcoming and accommodating, I would definitely come back to stay! We had a great Scramble family tournament the last night there next to a roaring fire in the fireplace! (Our son kicked our asses!). Definitely pin the place for your visit to beautiful Northern California 🤟

By far, the most friendly staff we have EVER met. The location and the property were absolutely perfect! The rooms were AMAZING, and everyone from the front desk to the garden to the restaurant to the housekeeping truly made us feel like family. The fact that they bring a homecooked breakfast to your door every morning, let you roam the chicken coop, llama’s enclosure, and their garden tells you how “at home” you are going to feel. There is also a trail on the property that leads you to a breathtaking ocean view. We came to Mendocino on our honeymoon roadtrip for two nights, and we loved it so much that we booked a third night before we had to check out. We will absolutely be coming back to SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm without a doubt for our anniversary if we can even wait that long!

We had the most lovely stay at the SCP! We stayed in the cottage because our family was looking for an extra peaceful quiet stay. We hiked to the beach right outside our door. We worked with the manager Niki, and she went above and beyond to make our stay special. We also love the new farm-table restaurant. Our server Chelsea made us feel like family and the pizza was delicious. This was our second stay at SCP and if you are going for the first time, I would recommend reading/calling about the different accommodations. We will definitely be back.
