Jonathan went above and beyond to make our three week honeymoon in Southeast Asia the trip of a lifetime! During our planning session, Jonathan asked thoughtful questions about our interests and tastes so that he could select the hotels and tours best suited to our personalities. He was also particulaly sensitive to our needs as a gay couple, and recommended locations that would be LGBTQ-friendly. Unlike other travel agents we consulted, Jonathan was perfectly happy to work within our budget. Despite the complicated logistics of our trip (8 different cities), Jonathan made the process seamless for us and provided an extremely helpful trip schedule as well as destination guides for each city. Throughout our journey, Jonathan checked in with us at each destination ironed out any last minute details with the tour operators. All of the recommended hotels were gorgeous, and we were treated especially well since Jonathan notified them that were were celebrating our honeymoon. I am 29 years old and no one I know my age has ever used a travel agent. Travel agents are things of the past and why would I use one when I could do everything myself on the internet? This is what I thought before working with Purple Light Vacations, and now I want to shout from the rooftops how incredibly helpful travel agents are, especially Jonathan from Purple Light Vacations. I am a meticulous planner, but found myself overwhelmed when trying to plan a trip across the world to India and Thailand. I reached out to Jonathan and the rest is history and I have told all of my friends that they must contact him for their next trip.

How do travel agents make money? Do I have to pay for this service? I am not rich and can’t afford to stay at luxury resorts, would they still want to help me? Do you ever see them in person? What if I have lots of questions, is that okay? These are all the questions I had going in to the experience and Jonathan patiently answered all of them both over the phone and ever so kindly in person, where he treated me to a glass of wine. We had never been to this part of the world, a lot of money would be spent, and this trip was a huge deal to us. I wanted to be sure I could trust the person that was going to help us make it happen, the person I was going to give my credit card number too. It didn't matter that I wasn't the richest client or that I had a million questions, Jonathan helped me every step of the way.

Our trip started out in New Delhi, India and from there we went to Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand. From booking hotels to finding unique tours and unforgettable experiences, Joanthan was there for us every step of the way. He booked beautiful hotels, delicious food tours, enchanting elephant sanctuaries, and personalized private city tours. He constantly found better rates than I did and was able to recommend accommodations and transportation that would make our overall trip run seamlessly. There was a person with my name on a sign at every airport waiting to take us to our next hotel. This took all the stress out of trying to navigate a new country.

He answers emails in a blink of an eye and even responded on Thanksgiving day when we were having issues getting a hold of a tour company while abroad. I was feeling nervous about all the small details of our trip and Jonathan created a detailed contact sheet for every hotel, tour company, and transportation provider for me before I left. One of the trips we took was for 26 people to the Taj Mahal, and coordinating with this many people was incredibly stressful. Everytime we needed to make a change or addition to this trip, and there were many, he was there.

Jonathan stops at nothing to ensure his clients have a trip of a lifetime. Purple Light Vacations deserves all the stars and I urge you to reach out and allow them to help you plan your next vacation! It does not matter who you are or where you come from, the team at Purple Light will have help you every step of the way! Travel agents are back and I plan to tell all the millennials it is the only way to travel.

Purple Light Vacations planned our trip to China and we had an incredible time! Jonathan researched everything (which would have been stressful had we done it ourselves) and to our surprise, the cost was exactly the same if we had booked everything ourselves! Jonathan saved us the headache of having to figure out which hotels were in the best location for all the sights and landmarks that China had to offer. He even went above and beyond to provide us additional recommendations for restaurants, nightlife and other things to do in each city.
