Very pleasant experience. The electric catamaran was quiet so we could hear the water, and the sounds of wildlife. It was very peaceful. Our guide did an excellent job of pointing out animals and educating us about them. She was knowledgeable and easily answered all questions.
… We saw lots of sea otters, sea lions, seals, as well as many different types of birds. It was very interesting and beautiful. Observing these animals in their natural habitat was really special…

This is something I will do again. The Skipper and Naturalist were both well informed and helpful. The boat itself was quiet, smooth and offered the opportunity to walk around to see whatever was close by. Elkhorn Slough is full of life and probably offers different things to see at different times of year. It helps to bring binoculars as the skipper does not get too close to disturb the wildlife. A bargain in my opinion.

A great tour, starting off with a drive by tour of a cacophony of sea lions. Then it was a gentle meander through the Elkhorn Slough, spotting loads of birdlife and sea otters. The captain was also very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the slough, a highly recommended tour, suitable for all ages.

I went on a tour with my partner, mother, and grandmother who has limited mobility and requires an oxygen concentrator, and we all had a wonderful time. Marina navigated the high wildlife traffic expertly, it was a very gentle ride, and Helaina was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide on our tour. We had such a lovely time in spite of the cold and fog. There were plenty of otters, harbor seals, sea lions, sea birds, and shore birds. I will absolutely be going again.

We had a beautiful morning outing on the comfortable, spacious, quiet electric boats. I was jealous of the folks out in the slough on kayaks but my husband’s back is tweaked right now so this was a better choice. Great with kids and people with some mobility restrictions. The guide and driver were both friendly and knowledgeable. We saw tons of otters, seals and seabirds. The weather was perfect, not chilly but not beastly hot. There is a small cafe next to the loading dock that has delicious and unique dishes.

Wow what a spectacular day on Elkhorn Slough with Monterey Bay Eco Tours! Our group thoroughly enjoyed the fun and informative presentation by the talented naturalist Helena and the smooth handling and care by the very friendly Captain Marina. We were thrilled to see possibly the first harbor seal pup of the year! I loved the amazing catamaran that was so clean and beautifully built too, super stealthy with the electric engines. Women- owned business with an all female crew was a special bonus! I would absolutely return again and highly recommend Monterey Bay Eco Tours and the Elkhorn Slough Nature tour to everyone!

Great experience! Knowledgeable staff about the area and calm ride. Saw lots of otters (some right next to the boat), seals, various birds and jelly fish. Wonderful for young families, our 9 month old did great, just be prepared for cooler and warm conditions.

We saw lots of wildlife. Sea Otters and their babies. Lots of different kinds of birds. The boat was nice and quiet with no fumes, because it was electric! The guide way very upbeat and bubbly and full of information. Great time out on the water.
