Great hotel and great location. The staff is very friendly. It's a quick walk to many different meal options. The cold water wasn't working in the bathroom sink but fine in the shower. We will definitely stay here again.

The reason I’m giving this hotel a 1 star review is because I was told I would receive my safety deposit back in 3-5 business days and it’s been 14 business days and I still have not received my safety deposit. I tried calling them multiple times but no one picks up. Also the decor is scary. Location is good if you want something cheap in Beverly Hills but definitely not a 4-star hotel.

This is a uniquely designed hotel for a great price. It’s in a nice area and walking distance from many great shops. The area felt super safe as well. All the staff here is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The only issue I had, is the plumbing? My toilet clogged immediately after using it for the first time. I think plumbing a common issue for many older hotels. I informed staff over the phone but they just said they don’t have any maintenance personnel in the evening (this was around 8pm). In this situation, what did they expect me to do? Just not use the bathroom during my stay? I just arrived, yet they couldn’t move me to another room? An unusable toilet during the entire duration of your stay is kinda unethical. I’ve seen other reviews that commented on the plumbing as well. It’s a nice hotel, but this definitely needs to be fixed 😅

Maison 140 has nice rooms with a fun decor and a good location. The service was really disappointing, however.

We arrived back around 10PM one evening to find that our room had not been cleaned, nor did we have any towels. There was nobody at the front desk for an extended period of time (nor was there a number to call), so we were unable to obtain fresh towels that evening. The next day, the front desk said that maid service needed to be requested in advance (which we had never been informed) and were unapologetic about nobody being available at the front desk. At a hotel at this price level, we would expect to have access to towels, to be informed if maid service must be requested, and always to have a way to contact someone for help.

We were also mistakenly charged higher than the amount the hotel invoiced us. When we raised these issues with the front desk, they were unapologetic and gave us the manager's email address. When we emailed the manager, there was no response.

If you're reading this, we would appreciate contacting us to help resolve these issues, otherwise we will be forced to dispute the charges with our credit card company.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Beverley Hills and is a short walk from Rodeo Drive. ||At first glance, the hotel exterior was very pretty. We were warmly welcomed, however, when we checked in at around 4pm, the room was not ready (check in is 3pm). This was fine and we waited on the sofas by the bar. The receptionist explained the facilities of the hotel as well as the facilities available at their sister hotel (Mosaic hotel). ||The hotel had taken a security deposit from us which we were happy with and it was explained that the balance would be refunded upon check-out. After our trip, we noticed that we were only partially refunded. We tried contacting the hotel on multiple occasions to query this but it proved very difficult to get a response. When the hotel eventually responded, it was hotel taxes which were deducted. We completely understood that we needed to pay taxes but would've appriciated it if this was explained to us, as we would've preferred to pay via a different payment method. ||The hallway leading to our room was very dark and had a 'musty' smell. The carpets were stained and ripped, they could do with an update. ||The room itself was spacious with a large bed and ensuite bathroom. The room was not cleaned whilst we were staying, this service had to be requested, if required. The room also had the same 'musty' smell as the hallway. ||I do not think this hotel is 4* as stated.

This is a terrible hotel!!!! The pictures looked decent and I only needed a room for one night so decided on here. The hallway carpet through out was stained and ripped. Thankfully in the room the bathroom appeared clean. The sheets were stained but appeared to be old stains and that, I think/hope they had been washed. There were bubbles on the ceiling from water leaks, burned out light bulbs in the lamps and grossly stained lamp shades. The head board was dirty with I shudder to think what. To top it all off if you stand by the bed there is clear glass that looks into the bathroom and you can see someone sitting on the toilet. Do not stay here, pay a bit more and stay somewhere else. Actually this hotel isn't even that cheap. I would have expected the condition it was in with a hotel half the price maybe.

By far the best part of my stay was the staff. In particular, Vincenzo at the front desk. He was personable, kind, and very helpful. Morgana too, very sweet and accommodating. A great experience. I got quite sick with food poisoning during my stay and Vincenzo helped me through it. Great guy!

The day before checking in I called several times to request a crib to be placed in our room but no one picked up the phone. When we arrived the receptionist told us there is no crib in this property and suggested to cancel our reservation and book a new one at their sister property, Mosaic Hotel. I disagreed as it was their shortcoming of answering the phone. Finally, he said he will fetch one from the other hotel and we checked in to our room, 10 minutes later someone else came to the room and said cribs are not allowed for infant and it is not safe and suggested to give us another room with 2/3 of the price so that we have more space! such a ridiculous reasoning and suggestion! We have traveled all around the world with our oldest child and has never heard of crib not being safe! When I disagreed they finally brought us the crib and made us to sign a waiver!
The room was so small and the air conditioning didn't work properly and I had to put so many more layers on my infant. The day after we notified them about the air conditioning and they sent a technician and he said this can't be fixed and moved us to the adjacent room which was a bit bigger, I wonder why didn't they put us in that room to begin with. All I can think of is, they wanted to force to get an extra room and pay for it or move us to the other hotel that was way more expensive due to the last minute reservation. Also, parking was $45 per night instead of $40! In addition, no bar, food or even coffee in this property!
