I usually go to the nearby Regal Theater since I have the Regal Movie Pass. Someone reminded me that United Artists was part of the same company & accepted the same Movie Pass as the Regal Theater chain. The only United Artists Theater I could find was in La Canada.
Even though it was roughly 30 minutes away by taking the 210 east, I decided to go. Overall, the United Artists Theater was smaller than I expected. 8 theaters. But it was very well kept!! Clean! The lobby was very well lighted. And the concessions stand was being worked by some of the hardest working people I've seen (they were trying to move like crazy!! I tell ya!!). The popcorn 🍿 I got was pretty fresh (if was any closer to being freshly made, it would have made a Pass at me!).
The Theater that I watched my movie in was a little smaller than I was used to (was watching A24s Y2K). Which isn't bad, I'm just used to a slightly bigger Theater with more seating. However, they did have the reclining seats, which was very nice! Almost wound up falling asleep they were so comfortable!!
The overall experience was very nice. I've never been in a United Artists Movie Theater before. And I was overall happy. I DEFINITELY want to go again when I have time.
Pros: very hard working staff, fresh popcorn, can use my Regal Movie Pass there, reclining chairs, little more intimate Theater
Cons: a bit out of my way (as compared to 10 to 15 minutes away depending on which Regal Theater I go to), slightly smaller Theater than used to
The experience is nice. And I definitely want to go again.

Great movie theatre! Nice parking lot, and easy access. Staff is friendly and on top of it! Highly reco the matinee if you can swing it. The chairs recline back, and are like personal lazy-boy/living room recliner. Popcorn, candy, and a few arcade games! Bonus car meets weekend mornings in the lot. Sound is great! Screens are crisp, and the place is clean and welcoming!

I recently visited Regal Movie Theater in La Cañada and was extremely impressed by their ample parking space. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the parking lot was well-lit and well-maintained, making it easy to locate a spot and navigate through the lot.

The theater itself was clean and spacious, with comfortable seats and a wide variety of concessions available. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the ticket prices were reasonable.

One of the standout features of this theater was the state-of-the-art audio and visual technology, which truly enhanced the movie-watching experience. The picture and sound quality were top-notch, and I found myself fully immersed in the film.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by my visit to Regal Movie Theater in La Cañada. The convenient parking and comfortable atmosphere made for a great night out, and I would definitely recommend this theater to others.

The Regal UA movie theater in the La Canada/Montrose/ La Creasenta area is a very nice theater. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean and well managed. The restrooms are close to the entrance and also very clean! They have a great snack bar, it is movie theater pricing, but if you'd like to go in and just buy a tub of popcorn they will accommodate you. They do have some games in the front lobby for the children and even adults. They also serve beer and wine, so no need to bring your own - lol. Parking is abundant with plenty of handicap spaces available! Please come and enjoy a movie, some popcorn, and a great time.

TLDR; GO ELSEWHERE. This place is horribly managed with blatant disregard for ethics.

I was beyond excited to watch Wicked. It was a movie I'd been anticipating all year. However, my excitement quickly turned into disappointment due to an absolutely unacceptable experience.

The speakers in the theater were busted, which completely ruined the movie. For a film like Wicked, where the soundtrack and music are a critical part of the experience, this was inexcusable. I couldn't enjoy the songs or the dialogue properly, and it completely took away from the magic of the movie.

When we brought this issue to the staff's attention, they admitted they already knew the speakers were broken. Yet, they still chose to show the movie as if everything was fine--at full price, no less! This feels like a blatant disregard for customer experience. If they were aware of the issue, why not either fix it, close the affected theater, or at the very least warn customers and offer a discount or refund?

The management at Regal UA in La Cañada clearly values profits over its customers. I walked away not only disappointed but also feeling cheated. Save your money and go somewhere that cares about delivering a quality movie-going experience.

Went to see Gladiator II last night and had to leave after 90mins because the experience was not good. I really used to enjoy this movie theater, but now just think it’s overpriced and desperately needs an upgrade. The “reclining” seats are blown out (feels like you’re sitting in a ‘57 Chevy) and the sound system (at least in theater 3) is garbage. The center channel is clearly blown out and so it sounds like you’re watching a movie at a drive-in theater. Prices are higher now than pre-pandemic and the theater is in worse condition. That just doesn’t make sense. I really hope this theater invests in their customers by upgrading soon. Until then I’d rather wait and watch movies on Netflix at home…

Very nice theaters with a wide selection of movies and of course all the amenities you would expect from a national chain. Plenty of parking but lacking a self serve ticket kiosk so you have to wait in line at the ticket booth. Also the recliners are on the hard side so hopefully an upgrade is in the works.
