Staying at The Irwin Street Inn and Restaurant was a wonderful experience. We stayed at the Inn for the first time in March 2024. We were met by Ricky, the Manager, and a very friendly and accommodating person with many interesting stories to tell about the Inn. He does an excellent job managing the Inn and he made our stay that much more enjoyable.||The Restaurant and main part of the Inn is a historical landmark, built in 1886. The interior of the Inn and Restaurant are beautiful, with antique furnishings, stain glassed windows, tables overlooking the expansive courtyard, lined with trees and a stately Camphor tree that is over 100 years old. The restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience, with polished antique wood including the full-service bar, stained glass windows and lovely artwork. The menu offers many choices, the chef is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable, | |Our room overlooked the courtyard. The Inn is very quiet with the only sound being the soothing sound of a train in the distance. We couldn’t have been happier with the room, high ceilings, adorned with antique furnishings, a large stained glass window, lovely artwork, and a very comfortable bed. The room was very clean. The highlight of the room was the large Victorian tub. We were to learn that someone quite famous recently stayed in our room.||If you are a cat lover, there are a couple of friendly resident cats that like to interact with the guests, one lovely little cat named “Keno” who made our stay all that much more enjoyable. ||The Inn is just a few minutes’ walk from the beautiful Civic Center Park and the historic Hanford Fox Theater, one of the few remaining theaters built in the 20s, which is fully restored to its 1929 elegance. The Park also has many restaurants, cafes and shops. Hanford was declared one of the 12 “Hidden Gems” in America Better Homes and Garden magazine and Architecture Magazine. The Irwin Street Inn location is perfect for exploring Hanford.||Whether it is for planning a business convention, planning a Wedding, or just for a weekend getaway, The Irwin Street Inn is the perfect place. If you are planning on exploring the Sequoia National Park, the Inn is less than an hour’s drive to the Park.||We could not have been happier with the Irwin Street Inn and cannot recommend it highly enough. You are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience staying there. We hope to be back soon

I am a long time local in Hanford. Until recently I had no idea Irwin St Inn offered such great quality meals. They have the best steak locally. Whether it's the Ribeye or Filet, everytime is superb. Don't miss out on this local gem!

We love the Victorian style homes on the property. Ricky is a great Manager and does a great job. Justin the chef does a great job with his meals OMG you have to try his Salmon and Shrimp pasta.

We had an excellent lunch at Irwin Street Inn on Wednesday. We have always liked this place but had not been there in quite a while. We had never had lunch there in the past, so it was enjoyable to see the dining room during the day. It was sunny and bright at the table where we were seated. This was especially nice on a cold day. ||The young man that waited on us was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. After being seated we asked if we could order steaks off of the dinner menu, rather than order from the lunch menu. After confirming with the chef that this was possible, we ordered a rib eye steak and a filet. Each steak was cooked perfectly and accompanied by side dishes of pan-fried potatoes and sautéed mixed veggies. Both of these were also excellently cooked. ||We were very full after our meals but were tempted by the chocolate hazelnut cake. We shared a slice and found it to be delicious, moist and scrumptious.||We have been a fan of Chef Hussein since his days at Vida restaurant. He was very good in those days. He is even better now.

Dined at restaurant. Was very impressed with the food. It was awesome too say...blue ribbon eats. KUDOS TOO THE CHEF.. I SPECIALLY LOVED THE STUFFED MUSHROOMS... QIUET LUNCH WITH MY PARTNER. I

You must be prepared...the heater works great. The rooms are quaint. Ricky is fabulous and will bend over backwards to accommodate you. The owner needs to step up and purchase new beds, pillows, sheets, comforters and door mats. I loved my room for its antique look...|The food at this hotel is superb.

Irwin Street Inn is a real find!
This Inn exudes historical charm is a very welcoming way. The decor is historically significant and kept within the Inn’s 1890s era. The woodwork is well kept. The rooms are open with windows and high ceilings that are quite inviting. The bed comfort and number of pillows needs improvement. The exterior needs some upkeep especially the roof. Having a comfortable side chair and bedside reading lamp are missing necessities. The clawfoot bathtub is unique as well as the pull-chain commode in the bathroom.
The Restaurant under Chef Hussein is worth seeking out. Although I was in the area on business, I would make my way to this restaurant again to enjoy a meal. Over two days, several friends and I had the opportunity to order many dinner entrees and have an enjoyable breakfast. Chef Hussein has been crafting delicious meals for nearly 30 years and he never disappointed with the salmon, chicken or beef dishes. All were exceptional. They offer an Easter and Mother’s Day brunch. And the lady that does the pastries and desserts is gifted.
Overall, if you are adventurous and enjoy historic Inns, this is a place near Fresno to enjoy. Ricky, the property manager will personally answer your phone calls and is especially accommodating to meet your requests on site. It is not an easy property for disabled individuals. Pets are most welcome. Highly recommended for the exceptional restaurant. A real historic Inn jewel.

My room was decorated in beautiful antiques, a 4 legged old fashioned tub and toilet that flushed with a pull down chain. I didn't eat in the restaurant but the dining room was lovely. ||Towels we're quite thin It was hot when I arrived and they had the room nice and cool ||I would recommend this place.
