This is the secret to the I-5/SR-99 route coming into Los Angeles from the north. A beautiful visitor’s center with gorgeous views of Pyramid lake. Lots of parking. Nice restrooms indoors with port-a-potties outside for use after hours. As a bonus, there’s also a nice museum talking about water use in California. The museum is very children-friendly. This is, of course, all free. A perfect stop along I-5.

I visited back in October, it is so beautiful out there. And inside the visitor center has a lot of info about the water delivery systems. We showed up a little before they closed, so we didn't get to see everything, but what we did see and do was fun. There are interactive activities and plenty of pictures and information. This is a great place for all ages.

Wow, I was impressed! Thus visitor center was more like a museum! I had so much fun learning about all the water projects in so-cal. It was pretty empty when I went, but since it's so big and there is so much to look at I'm sure it'll still be fun if it's a bit more crowded.
