Stayed here for 2 nights over Labor Day and I wished I had stayed longer. Modern amenities, comfortable bed, good roomsize, spotlessly clean and the location speaks for itself. I loved that it was off the beaten track and had two very good night's of sleep. Guests may also use the deck and watch the humming birds feeding or make use of the eclectic library in the living room, which was a joy to browse in the evening. Peter is an attentive host and even offered to take me stargazing in the evening. With zero artificial light in the area it was a true experience to see the milkyway. |Convenient driving distance to Yosemite over both the south and west route for a versatile day in the national park. Lots can be done within one day, but I'd recommend at least 2 full days in the area to avoid rushing and do this amazing area justice. |Good to know: The last bit of the route takes you over a dirt road. Insurance in these roads isn't always covered in rental car contracts, so pay special attention to that.

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Yosemite National Park. Peter was an excellent host and we felt very comfortable here. The B&B was spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable and quiet, and was equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed a different breakfast each morning cooked by Peter, and each day they were amazing (including fresh eggs from the chickens outside, homemade granola and blueberry pancakes). ||||The drive to Yosemite is approx. 1hr 15mins from Foxtail Farm, but it seems most accommodation (unless you stay in the National Park) is a similar drive to this. Peter was very knowledgable about Yosemite and the surrounding areas and helped us plan our days in the park. Peter also provided some restaurant recommendations nearby which were both good.||||We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a B&B near Yosemite.

We couldn’t have asked for a better host, cook (his breakfasts were amazing), and local expert. Peter and his wife Cheryl were a wealth of information about the park, sustainable farming, woodworking, chickens, gold mining, and a bunch of other topics we discussed. The BnB was very clean and well taken care of with lots of neat mission style furniture, books, and board games. The bed was comfortable and our room had a fridge an tv (that we never even turned on). The property is 100 acres of beautiful nature. If you ever want to plan a trip to Yosemite, I would highly recommend you consider staying here! We can’t wait to go back. #foxtailfarm

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights during our visit to Yosemite, in April 2019 and fell in love with this beautiful B&B.||The location is close to Oakhurst and Mariposa, and near enough to drive to Yosemite. We found this very convenient as we didn't want to be in the mix with all the tourists in Yosemite Valley, and wanted a tranquil place to rest after days of exploring. ||The property is so homely and clean, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The dogs Tim and Ursula were so friendly and the chickens were delightful, clucking around with plenty of space to roam.||Then there's Peter, the most lovely host we could've wished for. We came away feeling like we'd made a friend. He cooked us a different breakfast each morning, all absolutely delicious and home-made using the chicken's eggs and fresh ingredients. The pancakes and banana bread were particularly delicious.||Peter gave us his top tips for Yosemite and we really appreciated all the guidance he gave us - we wouldn't have had such an amazing time in the area without his knowledge.||Our room faced the incredible view and was very clean and nicely decorated. It was just perfect.||We just felt right at home for the entire stay and found a bit of heaven at Foxtail Farm. If we ever return to the area we will definitely stay here again, we both felt sad to have to leave it.||Thank you so much Peter for an incredible stay. Your hard work shows and we can't thank you enough for everything you did to make it an unforgettable trip.

Foxtail Farm B&B was fantastic! The property is stunning, breakfast delicious and hosts lovely to be around. Highly recommend staying here. Plus, Peter is practically a Yosemite guide - he gave us great hiking and park tips. Would absolutely stay here again

I've been meaning to write this review for a number of months now and life just keeps getting in the way but I talk about our visit to Foxtail so often, I just had to take 5 minutes to share it properly! ||||My Husband and I stayed at Foxtail for 2 nights in July as part of our Honeymoon. We had no idea what to expect and did a little bit of research on the property before our stay but that was nothing compared to how brilliant our stay was. ||||Peter was just the perfect host from start to finish, giving up the best recommendations - the Fish Taco's from South Gate Brewery being one! He really took the time to get to know us, ask us questions about our stay and share his much evident passion for the area with us. He also answered all our questions we bombarded him with. ||||Breakfast was just a dream, Peter has a real passion for cooking which is evident and is knowledgeable on local product and hands down, makes the best Banana bread we have ever eaten and were lucky enough to come away with the recipe.||||It's about an hour or so drive into Yosemite which we knew and actually wasn't a problem. Anyone who marks this place down on location needs to learn how to use Google Maps! ||Peter was great at giving us tips on Yosemite Park itself and we saw some great places on his recommendation.||||Around a 10 minute drive away you have a number of shops, restaurants and Supermarkets. We ate at South Gate Brewery on both nights as it was just too good not too but there was quite a wait but it's definitely worth it! ||||I'd seen online that Peter offered the chance to trek and view the Milky Way on his property and to this day, was one of the best experiences of our lives. We waited until dark and set off with trusty Ursula and just laid under the stars talking for hours. Sadly we had to leave early the next morning or we would have happily laid there all night. ||||Hands down one of the greatest stays we have had and I almost want to keep it our little secret so we can visit again as I know as soon as word gets around about this place, it's going to take off and it couldn't happen to a nicer man. ||||We wish you all the luck in growing this venture Peter and we can't wait to visit again in future. ||||Heather and Richard, July 2019

Spent a few nights whilst in our travels in early July 2019 and could not have asked for a better destination. The service and attention to guests needs well catered for. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Sitting in the evenings watching the sunset seeping on a glass of wine listening to the sound of nature (no cell phones or traffic) to die for ending off staring at the heavens of stars. As for the morning breakfasts, words cannot describe enough how enjoyable they are, especially the blueberry pancakes. Another visit cannot come soon enough.

Very clean and sweet country charm, sitting on top of the scenic mountain landscape. Cheryl and Peter are very nice; they make you feel like you're at home, and they pay attention to every little detail. I enjoyed my stay very much, and I am looking forward to returning to the spring and early fall of next year.
