Such an aesthetic cafe! Staff were super friendly, the drinks were stunning & super inventive. The french toast was the best I’ve had - fresh berries/toppings, not weirdly soggy & not too sweet.

I had to come here twice in a week because I was so impressed. First time I stopped by on a whim and then second time I wanted to bring all my friends and family. I don’t care what anyone says but this cafe is truly one of a kind. I can tell it’s not just one of those cafes that get hyped up for its ig worthy decor. It’s hyped up for a reason because the drinks and food were just so good! I have never had anything like these before. I also accidentally dropped my drink but the staff were super kind to remake it for me. It is also dog friendly and had treats at the register for anyone to grab. I appreciated that so much because I always try to find places to bring my puppy. They have an espresso machine that was specifically customized for them AND a customized speaker that was just so beautiful. Music wasn’t too loud but it can get loud with a crowd. I asked about their matcha and they’ve been sold out since their soft openings but they told me they plan on getting more shipped from Japan very soon!! Can’t wait to come back for more!

It’s very poppin, but the drinks came out pretty quickly. The presentation of the drinks are great and they’re all pretty sweet which I like. It’s a bit hectic inside though cause it’s so busy. We got the honey bee by accident but that ended up being the tastiest. The corn latte and misugaru are good too.

Hidden in LA is this blue (verrrry blue) coffee shop, I went during the weekend. It’s in a very populated location so parking is scarce. There’s a little plaza near it where you might be able to park (if you’re quick) . There’s sign where it says customers only for a different business .
The decor is very cute and stylish. They have indoor seating but it does get pretty loud with multiple people, luckily they also have outdoor seating!
I got the corn cream latte this time around. The taste was something unique, it did resemble a corn but in waves, very interesting. The coffee and cream they used were definitely the stars and savior of this latte though. Altogether it made the latte amazing. Had a bit of an aftertaste so make sure to have gum in your pocket! I can see myself coming back for the gong gan cream which also sounded good. This is definitely a place where the taste of the coffee comes first and it shows!

This really cute cafe just opened up in Silverlake. They serve Korean inspired drinks and snacks. We ordered the signature gong gan cream latte and corn cream latte and both were delicious. They were a bit on the sweet side but definitely a nice weekend treat to have. For food, we ordered the blueberry earl gray french toast which was a deep fried french toast that was reminiscent of Hong Kong diner style french toasts I’ve had before. It came with a dill sprig which surprisingly worked pretty well with the blueberry compote and earl gray cream.

The interior of this cafe is beautiful! Every chair is unique but the whole space feels very airy and cohesive. There’s a pretty decent amount of outdoor seating if it gets too full inside!

Super cute coffee shop! Large, creative variety of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages, we had to order an extra round to go since they were sooo good! Honey Bee was a standout for me. They also have desserts and savory bites. I had the Croffle, which was amazing. Quick, attentive service and a chill atmosphere to hang out in (indoor and outdoor seating available). Definitely will recommend this place to all my friends!

My friends and I heard about the soft open and wanted to give it a try. We got their mangnon ade (my personal favorite), podo ade, and berry ade for drinks. All were some of the best refreshing drinks we’ve ever tried. The food all tasted amazing, especially their signature black sesame croffle that came out warm and perfectly crispy with the most delicious sweet cream on top. Highly recommend checking out this cafe if you’re in the area! I noticed everyone getting the corn latte and injulmi croffle, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try more items off the menu. Silverlake is so lucky to have this gem of a place!

tldr; 10000/10 experience at Gong Gan. Highly recommend. Drinks, food, vibes- all on point!

DRINKS: as a non-coffee drink-girlie, all the drinks were so good. I got the strawberry latte and the mang lon (mix of mango and Korean melon). My friend got the corn latte and podo which I also tried. Can't pick a favorite but you truly can't go wrong with any of them!!
-Strawberry latte: you can't go wrong with. Milky, strawberry flavor with *fresh* strawberries, not your typical dried strawberries, old frozen strawberries, or just jam. (No coffee in this drink)
-Mang Lon: a mix of mango and Korean melon with soda. The mango flavor hits first and then the melon flavor kicks in. Such a unique flavor, very refreshing, and not too sweet.
-Podo: classic Asian grape flavor- sweet and delicious.
-Corn latte: surprisingly savory and sweet. If you want to try a unique coffee drink, this one is it!! As a non-coffee drinker (aka only tolerates Starbucks caramel macchiato), the coffee was not too bitter and the corn flavor mixed in SO well with the coffee. It was sweet enough for me to drink with a hint of coffee. Strongly encourage everyone to try it!

FOOD: we got the injermi croffle. The croffle itself was crisp on the outside and chewy and warm on the inside. The injermi powder/cream (a more traditional Korean flavor) made sure that was dessert wasn't too sweet by offsetting the sweetness of the ice cream with the nutty/toasty flavor of the injermi. The dessert was well thought out, balancing the warm croffle with the cold ice cream, making it the perfect snack. Definitely recommend!

AMBIANCE: honestly, super cute. The place really embodies a true Korean cafe. The blue theme makes the cafe aesthetic and the perfect place to take pictures. Walking in, the blue exterior of the cafe stood out- another good photo-op. The decor was not too minimalist, but not too maximalist. Lots of sunlight came in through the window giving the place a calm, cutesy vibe. Even the bathroom decor was on point. There were enough tables both inside and outside for people to sit and enjoy their desserts/drinks. No one was standing around waiting for a table to my memory. Definitely worth a visit for a date or for a meet up with your girlies!

SERVICE: the line was out the door when we arrived, but it went by quickly and the drinks/food came out in a timely manner. All the employees there were so friendly and accommodating!
