We had to stay in this hotel due to fires. It looked good from outside and positioned in a good location. That is unfortunately where a positive experience ended. We arrived late and very tired, and it turned out that our room keys did not work. We called standing in a hallway next to our room, hoping to eliminate a need to go all way down to the front desk, but the front desk person would not believe us, instead of treating us with a lesson how to use a room key. She finally reluctantly made her way up just to confirm that the keys were not working. The second key set worked on/off, the report of continuous problem made the front desk go into a long explanation and demonstration how heavy their doors are and how you supposed to push it hard(she threw her body agains the door, lifting handle with one hand and holding room key with another hand). The whole scene looked to be like from a dark comedy episode. You never know how much time it would take you to get back into your room once you exit it, you have to have one member of the party remain in the room to eliminate going through discussion and getting help from front desk. But the worst thing happened in the morning. We woke up and realized that we could not open the door from inside anymore either! The door handle was completely locked and not movable. Panicking we called front desk, yet again got their disbelief reaction and instructions to “keep pushing the door”, finally some hotel employee showed up to let us out and gave another story that their locks have history of battery problems. Not able to get out of the room was a scary experience, but nobody from hotel cared to even simply apologize for us to go through this. There is a safety and attitude problem in this place. That could be a dangerous situation of you cannot get out of your room in case of emergency.

We are always using Hampton Inn when we travel. This one in Palmdale was completely run down. They should have closed for renovation long time ago. Receptionists must all had to have their first days - nobody knew anything. Breakfast was good.
But again: this was my very first time that one Hampton Inn offered this negative impression!

Positive: I am glad that I got the room that I reserved. The King Studio was spacious enough for the three of us. Negative: Having to pay $12 a day to park anywhere in the Antelope Valley is absolutely ludicrous. The floors also sounded hollow and made noise no matter how quiet you tried to be and the beds/pillows were not comfortable whatsoever.

Read the website carefully. I didn't. It clearly states (copied and pasted from their website: "Self-parking Not available". How else are you going to get to this hotel right off the freeway in Palmdale? This allows them to then spring on you that they'll charge extra for parking. This way, by saying it's not available, they can explain how you'll end up paying more than the online invoice you got when you booked. Hilton, be honest, put it in the price instead of a hidden charge.

I have stayed in a number of Hilton properties in the Palmdale area but this is the first one that has charged a parking fee. The parking fee is completely, in my opinion, unwarranted. There was plenty of parking. Because of this parking fee, I will not be staying at this property in the future.

The rooms were "fair." They are actively updating some of the rooms. However, as a result, there was a lot of paint splatters in the hallway.

On a positive note, the staff at the front desk, when I checked in, was very positive, friendly and helpful. (That's why I gave the "Service" 5 stars.)

Love it here the manager Keke is so sweet and very helpful her team at the front desk. Every last one of them is nice except one lady named Mary. She was rude, but other than that I enjoyed my stay.Thank you guys

Like dozens of other customers, I arrived to find a $12/ day parking fee when the website and booking states parking is free. Even the WIFI login page boasts free parking. False advertizing.

I should have read these reviews before booking. I see there have been dozens of complaints in the last 6 months and nothing has been done. My next stop is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

My daughter stayed here while in town over holiday. She was horribly bitten by bugs and immediately complained to staff. She was given an email for which 4 days have now passed and NO RESPONSE. She had to check out of this filthy hotel to stay elsewhere for her safety. The bites all over have been painful and after several days and returned back home, may STILL have to go to a dr as the bites have not yet subsided. Staff was friendly, but the filth of bugs is not acceptable, esp no response from management or owners. DO NOT STAY HERE! INFESTED!
