Sierra-at-Tahoe is an awesome ski resort! My daughter and I went the day after Christmas after not snowboarding for 4 years, and it was such a great experience. This is where my daughters first learned to snowboard, so it was exciting to come back. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Even though the weather was cloudy, with light snow falling and windy, the snow conditions were surprisingly good, and we had a fantastic time. The resort is perfect for families, with plenty of easy and intermediate runs that are great for all skill levels. It’s also super convenient, only about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Sacramento. I will definitely return! Highly recommend it for a fun and family-friendly snowboarding or skiing trip.

This place is great for beginners and it definitely takes the ease and stress out of first time skiers like myself. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I wish the food was healthier and had better choices, but I am happy they serve salad, espresso Martini and beer on tap. My husband had a burger and I had a turkey sandwich with broccoli soup. The soup did not sit well in my belly and so I will just bring my own packed lunch in the future.

Great park especially for beginners. The majority of staff are awesome especially the rental department!!!!!

My Grandbabies had the time of their lives for their first snow trip.

IDEA: maybe a separate pass (less 💰) to get on lifts but not able to ski because your teaching? Definitely got more than my share of steps in........

This place is awesome. The vibe is totally different from any other Tahoe area resort. This is where a friendly people go to have a good time. Do yourself a favor and get a season pass. It’s the shortest drive compared to any Tahoe area result from the Sacramento area and is super dope. Compliments to the freestyle park staff. Even with limited snow they always put together nice jumps.

Sara and the team at Sierra-at-Tahoe were incredible! Their attentiveness and dedication to customer service truly stood out. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, making us feel welcome from the start. Sara went above and beyond—not only did she have our rental gear and paperwork ready each day, but she also remembered our first and last names.

As a local, I don’t always expect that vacation-like experience, but the team made it feel special. Their commitment to top-notch service is truly commendable. Huge kudos to Sara and the entire team!

I visited Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort on January 11, 2025, and attended the 10:00 AM adult skiing class with Craig as my instructor. It was an incredible experience from start to finish!

Craig was an outstanding instructor—knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly skilled. He broke down the techniques in a way that was easy to understand and gave me the confidence to improve my skiing skills. His positive energy and encouragement made the class fun and engaging. I walked away feeling accomplished and excited to ski more!

Thank you to Craig and the team at Sierra-at-Tahoe for such a memorable experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for excellent skiing lessons and an overall fantastic time. Five stars all the way!

I learned to ski here, so as did my mother. This resort is the classic local Tahoe ski resort that never grew beyond its roots like many other Disneyland-esq ski resorts around Tahoe. Season passes are still very reasonable, and they have the best bunny hill in Tahoe.

Had another fantastic family trip to Sierra. I still remember it being the Sierra Ski Ranch from the "old days". But this place ain't old but it is classy.

The employees are really nice and I know they work their azz off. It ain't easy serving weekend warriors. This was the President's Day Weekend and it had the potential to be super busy. But it wasn't super busy. From my experience, it was just .....busy?

The food is decent. I had the Mountain of fries with chicken. 7/10 I guess.

Fyi..... no Veterans or First Responder rates on special weekends. It's all good. By the way, it's good to see the mountain cleaned up from the Calder Fire a few years ago. So brutal. It's such a beautiful area, and I wish I could ski it another 30 years.

Cheers! San Francisco Fire
