For being in the bad unsafe location it’s in, this place is reasonably priced. Great customer service, clean rooms, looks updated, gated in, don’t press you to check out at 6am, it was peaceful. Best place to stay on union.

This motel gives the Super 8 a bad name! The staff is very rude. They are also very judgemental people and no good business etiquette. They try and charge you extra for everything and even have the nerve to switch u rooms in the middle of the night. The continental breakfast is absolutely trash they feed you the bare minimum. Also room service does not come by everyday! Don't misplace or lose your key in the middle of the night and need to get a new one your subject to be locked out for a while if not the whole night. I also caught the manager going in and out of occupied rooms including mine. Honestly I believe that they are not qualified to be under the super 8 name! If things continue like this I could see it not only tarnishing the brand and possibly a lawsuit

This is a budget motel so don't expect much. The room was clean and spacious and the cable tv options were good once the manager replaced the missing TV remote. There were no tissues. The A/C was noisy but effective. There were a lot of loud guests downstairs who also left a mess on and near my car. Don't go here for the ambience. It's a place to sleep for the night.

Looks to be a work in progress/improvement. Room 124 was bright and shiny new/refurbished (recently painted, some new looking furniture etc.). However, it was missing some items: no rack to hang clothes or dresser/chest of drawers; no rack to hang towels; no holders in shower for soap, shampoo, washcloth etc. The air conditioning/heating worked well. The bed was comfy and the TV menu decent. The free WiFi was very weak and slow in the mid to late afternoon, much better in the very early morning hours. There was a fridge and microwave, but no in room coffee maker - however, there is lobby coffee as a part of a very limited Continental breakfast starting at 6:30 AM. The room price was reasonable. The location is semi-industrial with a few fast food eateries close by. Located close to CA Hwy 58.

Do not stay here unless you are desperate. Motel in less than desirable area, very noisy all night, cleaners were cleaning rooms on both sides of us at 9PM, but there was no one checking in. Woke at 3AM by noises outside our door, folks wandering the parking lot. We got up and left as did not feel safe

Very nice. Don't press you in the am to pay. Good price, good people, gated. Prob your best bang for your buck . New tvs with YouTube and Bluetooth. Tile floor...no microwave tho

A lot of night time activity at one point I heard yelling then I saw a gal with a mini baseball bat about 3 cars left after that. So there were no towels or toilet paper in the room, old style TV with only cable hookup. Air conditioner was in the closet. Room did appear clean and the bed was quite loud while being used... The soda machine could no longer accept bills as it appeared to have had several beatings. It was hard to tell what was in it due to writing on squares placed in each button choice. I'm sure if I stayed longer I could have appreciated it more...

The Bakersfield Lodge isn't okay Motel the kind of work with you with the rent but in a way they don't cuz you don't know who to give the money to and then they don't give you credit if you give it to the wrong person so that really sucks the only thing I can say is that they locked up my room but they saved all my stuff and it can fit in a separate room so like a month later I was able to go pick it up and that was a real good relief to get my things back
