Best winery ambassador welcome ever. As we pulled up to park, Bentley the bulldog walked out to the front and greeted my party then led us to the Tasting room like a boss. Tasting menu wins the Most Tastes Offered in Paso as i recall a 9+ journey with a super hostess helming a very busy afternoon all on her own. The inside tasting counter is cozy and the outdoor patio offers expansive views of their hillside property. Great tasting cab, zin, and blends with also olive oil and jams.

We had the opportunity to visit the Whalebone Vineyard in SEP_FY2019 and it was an amazing experience.
We did a plant tour and tasted some wonderful wines.
We don't know nowadays, but at that time the "2016 Cabernet Sauvignon PASO ROBLES" was perfect, especially due was a hot summer day.
The land around the Whalebone Vineyard is remarkable, even a simple ride across the roads could be an unforgettable experience.
Definitely, it's a place where we want back.

Very cool vibe here at Whalebone, with a bulldog mascot that greets you to real whale bones scattered throughout the property this gem is a must. Bob the owner seems to be a retired doctor who lives on the property and makes wine now. There is Bob Wine, Bob Shirts, and Bob candles, who doesn’t love Bob? Nice staff and they got pink polos with whales boning on them - great gift

One of the most fun wine tastings we’ve had. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Good wines. Relaxed atmosphere. Not at all pretentious. Very nice outside area for the tasting in addition to the bar inside. Olive oil tastings available also.

Beautiful laid back winery with amazing views. The wine was delicious with great service. Hard to get an Uber out of the vineyards in this area because you don’t have service.

Whalebone is a great small winery. We were fortunate to get a reservation on short notice (thank you!!). The winery offers a very chill and relaxed environment, almost to the point you forget you're at a winery. While you are still educated on the wine, all pretentiousness is eliminated. They do it right in terms of appealing to all wine drinkers, especially those who may be new to the world of wine. Our tasting menu offered seven options, at $15/per person, and all were easy drinking. We ended up selecting two bottles, but know it was a struggle to only pick two! The labels are also untraditional of most wineries - think bold, fun, super colorful.
I highly recommend a visit to Whalebone during your trip.
